Today is the day, are you getting Animal Crossing? Few reviews are available, but the general impression seems to be that it is more of the same Animal Crossing we all love (or hate). I never really got into AC:WW, but I like the idea of playing on the big screen and sharing stuff with friends. But with so many good games out now, it's hard to justify it. It is really the exact same Animal Crossing we already know, just with a few minor things here and there.
My fellow nerrs, a new age awaits us. You have elected me, Cid, to be your next President. It was a fun, challenging race, and it was a pleasure to compete with the other fine members here. I predicted that the site had around 110 members; the polls certainly proved that we have more than that. More importantly, however, they proved that you all- no matter who you voted for- care for the site. That you cared for the site's many features; whether they be the small, fun gimmicks that we've come to enjoy, or the big events like this.
I thank you all for the support, and I can assure you, you will not be let down.
As I said, a new age awaits us. But what does this mean? Well, this means that things are going to change. They are going to change for the better. I will take heed of what the population has to say, and bring our community's concerns and problems to the attention to Francis. I will also participate in the devising of new features and innovations for the site. Rest assured, you have nothing to fear.
This isn't going to be change for the worse, but rather, change for the better.
Again, I said that I predicted before the election that we had around 110 members. Let's raise that number. Let's make digibutter one of the most special and fun places on the internet. It's already great, but we can make it greater. Through cooperation, the site will become one of the most glorious sites ever, and nerrs from all corners of the world will flock to our homepage, eager to see what's so great about this place.
I did not have enough time (Today, at least) to make this speech very long, but I'll leave you with this-
We're all on this train together. Let's make the ride great.
It was a great election. Many great candidates and many strong campaigns, but only one can be President. And that member is Cid!
Cid has come a long way to get to this position. He has been a member almost since the site began (when he went by the name "Lord Crump"). He has also served as a moderator, which gave him an up-close and personal look at digibutter's issues. I'm sure President Cid is eager to get to work, but lets give him some time to adjust to this new position.
Also, as a side note, we now have a Voting forum, for site-wide polls. Expect a new poll soon, and maybe a way to create your own.
