Anyone think we'll be getting a new Paper Mario (Or a remake) within the next decade? I'd like to see one before 2030.

I think one should be coming pretty soon actually. The Paper Mario series has had release gaps ranging anywhere from 3-5 years in between. The release gaps in chronological order are 4, 3, 5, and 4 years. Since the average is four years, Color Splash was released in late 2016 (September) and was announced in March, I'd expect an announcement as early as March 2020. Needless to say, this is not likely to be around the exact same time as the last release, but I'm guessing Nintendo could pull off an announcement at E3 2020. If they can (finally) do it right once again, I'm sure they'd make a lot of people happy and have a large number of sales.

Of course the prospect of a remake could throw the entire scheduled off, but unless Nintendo has really been listening to their Paper Mario fans (for once), I don't think that a remake is likely and I'm more inclined to believe that it will just be a new title. Out of pure speculation I'd guess that the Paper Mario title after this next one would be a remake (if either of the games end up being produced in the first place).
