Nerrs, I started a new Cave Story playthrough in order to try get the true ending for once and I can't *crag*ging kill Ballos! I've gone through the Blood Stained Sanctuary so many times now that it's a *crag*ging piece of cake up to the *crag*ging Heavy Press fight. On my best run, I got about halfway through Ballos' first phase **AND THEN PROCEEDED TO FORGET ABOUT MY LIFE POT AND DIE AGAIN...**
