TheEvilShadoo | *Crag* yeah! That’d be neat, and it’d technically be official franis-sanctioned too. I doubt it’d cause some random activity spike and revitalize digibutter, but still, I think a fair few nerrs can appreciate free software when they see it. This might have made me consider recreating @nerr_ebooks as a Mastodon bot if I understood the first thing about old digibutter APIs or how to web-scrape more effectively. |
ambient | sure why not |
Francis | maybe a forum/mastodon hybrid. I once experimented with having twitter replies show up as forum comments and vice-versa |
ambient | reply to Francis i'm not opposed to that |
TheEvilShadoo | Us remaining nerrs would gladly accept any sort of innovation we can get. We won’t be picky. Ideally though, it would be nice if the new platform could help keep new users from posting once and disappearing. Throw in a couple seasonal UI themes or allow user-created themes, and boom, it’s the perfect digibutter 4.0. |
ambient | reply to TheEvilShadoo i'd take a digibutter telnet system for all i care |
TheEvilShadoo | reply to ambient lol telnet's great. I remember there's a text-based Star Wars movie telnet server, a nyancat telnet server, and some neat text games. |
ambient | reply to TheEvilShadoo everyone knows about ascii star wars, and if you don't you're not a true nerr |

TheEvilShadoo | reply to ambient We'd probably pay money for just about anything digi-related at this point. https://imgur.com/a/nDPAJNE |
