They really should
As long as it was longer.
Yes, that game was pretty enjoyable. They'd just haven't to get used to a more complex art style, Animating can be pretty time-consuming with that kind of stuff.
I'm mostly referring to how they handled the concept of a 2D-Platformer RPG-lite. Lots of humor and variety, in an interesting world sprinkled with fun platforming action and puzzles. While playing it I imagined swapping Mario in and I got the same vibes I had playing SPM.
i can see what you mean, that would be nice honestly, but to be fair, i am so starved for paper mario i will literally take anything with that goodness of the super paper mario and before time

I think many still check in from time to time, but there just isn't much to talk about. I hope you continue to visit every once in a while. I do have some changes in the works so check back soon.
I'll probably pop in at christmas and future anerrversaries just to see how everyone's doing. Thanks for everything Francis!

|6||**13 Years!** digibutter can now legally create an account for itself! Thanks for lurking all this time, this place just wouldn't be the same without you (oh wait, it would >_>) Obviously I haven't been able to work on much this past year. Baby Francis is a bit of a handful. BUT I /promise/ to have some new stuff soon. Like being able to play an archive of all the betalands levels. And THEN new forum software. And THEN... /New Super/ bitlands...|
Awesome! Send baby Francis a super shroom shake for me ^_^. I hear they’re good for your bones.
Sounds good, hopefully you can count better than Nintendo with your sequels.
Keep up that grind Francis.

Good luck my friend
i will try to stay here to see it all happen, heres to another year after this!

World Maker is exactly what it needed. But it's lame that SMB2 got regulated to a just an item instead of a full style.
yeah that is a bit of a bummer, considering its my favorite older mario game

|1||Is the Light Tower in Skyward Sword the same thing as the towers in Breath of the Wild? What if there were many skylofts each with their own tower, and at some point they crashed and were buried... https://youtu.be/63dmhVup9VM?t=586|
There's a YouTube channel I used to watch called Nintendo Black Crisis, he does vids on Zelda and Paper Mario, often theories or discoveries.

|10||**Paper Mario: The Origami King - July 17th** * Rescue Peach from King Olly. Join Mario and his new partner, Olivia, as they team up with unlikely allies like Bowser and the Toads to battle evil Folded Soldiers. * Extend your arms to interact with the environment and solve puzzles * New, ring-based battle system that requires both puzzle-solving skills and a quick wit. https://papermario.nintendo.com/|
Looks like Color Splash but with more traditional battles. Mario has simple jump and hammer attacks in this video that don't seem to be tied to any collectible items. Also partners, even if they are generic enemies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ez5EZ1AIVWo
I woke up today and this was one of the first things I saw on YouTube today. I've got a good feeling about this one! Even though it may look like color splash, it at least seems to have an interesting story going for it! No FP or attack gauge on the HUD bar though...
Story? In MY Paper Mario? Wowee!
I'm definitely not jinxing it, but even if the new PM game fails like the last two (IT CAN'T), it could at the very least bring more people to play SPM and maybe find out about Digibutter
Theory: Sticker Star had too many Toads, Color Splash had too many Shy Guys. The Origami King looks like he's a Shy Guy, Nintendo's probably trying to trick us into thinking he's the main antagonist when it could be ...someone else ...
Perhaps we'll find out who's truly responsible for the invasion of Toads and Shy guys...
I hope this is Schweeeet
plz have partnerz
This trailer was actually #1 on YouTube trending the other day. Have we reached a point in time where paper Mario is popular?
Wait why is that a link

|3||More deets. Kamek partner! The hidden toads are very Color-Splashy, but at least it seems optional. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CB7KBIgn2m0|

I never actually played the first two Paper Mario games or Super Mario RPG, so I've never played a Mario game with Partners. I'm excited to see this much loved feature in action. I can't wait to see what one of the most loved aspects of the original Paper Mario games looks like in action. Yay!
Hey, if you have a Wii u you can get PM64 on the Eshop really cheap, if you want to try one of the older PM games that's a good option
|Mr. L Productions|
Yeah, I'm gonna get PM64 and SM RPG: LOT7S on Wii U store soon

|8||I was going to go digital, but instead should I preorder the physical Origami King release to get these pins? https://media.gamestop.com/i/gamestop/papermario_origamiking_bonusLG.webp|
I'm not one for pre-order "bonuses". but the pins do look pretty cool. they are missing Luigi and the main new companion tho.
i agree they are well made, if your a big mario fan i say go for it, but honestly im gonna just get it base game instead
I would preorder for those pins, I've always preferred physical copies of games on consoles, but I'd say for me it would depend on the preorder price. （p.s. its good to see you back here Francis)
Yeah it's a pretty weak bonus. The UK gets actual origami and magnets. https://img.game.co.uk/merch2020/Games/PaperMario/PMTOK_OrigamiSheets.jpg https://img.game.co.uk/merch2020/Games/PaperMario/PaperMarioTOK_magnetsheet.jpg
now thats pretty awesome, and on theme
Those pins do look pretty schweeet, but personally I’m just going to pick up a physical copy of the base game.

I got the origami and magnets!
The origami/magnet stuff looks Schweet

|2||Reviews are coming in... https://www.metacritic.com/game/switch/paper-mario-the-origami-king/critic-reviews|
I haven't see anyone directly compare to Color Splash, but the reviewer at Ars Technica said in the comments "I didn't like Color Splash or Sticker Star much at all. Origami King is definitely more engaging than those two." He also said it was the "Mario Party of RPGs" due to all the mini-games.
Just one more day...

basically a Super Mario Maker MMO where everything is user-generated
Is there a way I can see progress on it and more about it?
sorry, not yet >_> You can browse the old forum posts from early development http://digibutter.nerr.biz/topics/board/8516/betalands
