1Assuming the Switch doesn't add anything new, I'm getting it for Wii U http://www.polygon.com/2017/1/19/14313914/legend-of-zelda-breath-of-the-wild-last-nintendo-game-for-wii-u

1Zelda Expansion Pass $20 DLC for both the Switch and Wii U: At Launch: 3 new treasure chests: Link Switch shirt and some useful items. Summer: new Cave of Trials challenge, a new hard mode, and a new feature for the in-game map. Holiday: new challenges with a new dungeon and a new original story. http://www.zelda.com/breath-of-the-wild/news/special-announcement-from-eiji-aonuma

I'll probably wait to see how substantial the new story is. The rest of it is just seems like filler to trick you into paying for it 9 months early.

7The soundtrack for this was a little disappointing in my opinion. The only one I found memorable was Mipha/Sidon's Theme.

That "Modern age Zelda Game" idea isn't looking so crazy anymore...

I've sorta lightened up to it, but I still kinda found it disappointing. My main reasoning was it's emptiness. Usually only a few notes played on a piano. I mean, I get that it's supposed to match the tone of the game, but it left a lot to be desired. The few full on tracks it did have I enjoyed. Didn't like the town themes aside from Tarrey Town. That one's beautiful. Hyrule Castle's cool too.

Derp the patroopa64

yeah, Hyrule castle and the other major tracks are really good, and i will agree listening to a few piano keys here and there isnt to interesting, it works in game though

Ignorant

Retrospectively looking back on it and playing the DLC, the minimalistic soundtrack honestly makes it easier for me to remember because I can recall the unique tracks so vividly. With the game atmosphere around exploration of the world, it fits perfectly. However, I think in major areas such as towns and such, or more important monuments, more detailed music would have been great. The dragon theme, Kakariko, Tarrey Town, Hyrule Castle, the Guardian theme, and the 'attack on divine beast' themes are all great and match their themes, and Sidon's theme is also pretty good. However yeah, I think they could have upped the contrast between quiet exploration, and wonderous monuments.

im going to be honest, i love Kass' theme.

3If they wanted to, Nintendo could make a Zelda MMO by reusing BOTW assets. The world is clearly big enough for hundreds of people to play on at a single time and they could turn the different races into their own classes. Just fill the world with more foes (ie Tektites, Like-likes, Gibdos, exc.) as well as proper dungeons and bosses and we'd be set. They could even have occasional giant over world bosses and holiday events. Lore wise, it could take place during the 100 years where Link is alsleep.
Francis

yeah but what would you *do*? fight the same dudes over and over?

TheEvilShadoo1

I think that’s a really great idea! I have a few ideas but they don’t fit in if Link’s still sleeping. There could be like a point capture system where you had to take the towers for your team. Make the shrines into like loot caves with shorter challenges and add in some new items like maybe the hookshot. It would also be cool to control the divine beasts. Obviously a massive loot stash at hyrule castle, maybe add a platform to take control of the turrets/guardians around the castle. I really see a lot of cool potential.

TheEvilShadoo

If it happened and it lasted long enough I wouldn’t be surprised to see it get a battle royale mode

4Posting this to the BOTW forum even though everyone will just see it in all posts regardless, but check this out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLiCZbhZdsM&list=RDMMwSC-nlCSssg&index=3 Rozen makes a ton of cool stuff, check out his Deku Palace cover too. Very cinematic and dare I say... epic.

1Is the Light Tower in Skyward Sword the same thing as the towers in Breath of the Wild? What if there were many skylofts each with their own tower, and at some point they crashed and were buried... https://youtu.be/63dmhVup9VM?t=586

There's a YouTube channel I used to watch called Nintendo Black Crisis, he does vids on Zelda and Paper Mario, often theories or discoveries.
