Dimentio21 | 5 | reply to Mr. L Productions posted 3 years ago Let me guess: were those years of not completing Bowser's inside story due to the button mashing required to beat the third sage? |
Mr. L Productions | 4 | No. It was years trying to beat Bowser in Dr. Toadley's place, then years trying to defeat the Dark Star. Final battle was easy though, tbh. Normally, once I've completed a M&L game it's really easy to beat again. Cackletta's Soul from Superstar Saga defied me. Still difficult and still hate when she does the spinning arms move... But my Mario got the first move, so I took out the head first, dodge the easy arm attacks, then use max nut. But, no, BiS is probably my favourite M&L game |
Arcadius2006 3 years ago | 4 | why did i sign up to this |
TheEvilShadoo | 1 | Because this site is arguably the best website on the internet. |
Mr. L Productions | ditto
Dimentio21 | 3 | reply to Mr. L Productions posted 3 years ago Bowser in Toadley's had me for a while, but it was the sage that made me quit. 6-7 years later, I had the common sense to look up a button-mashing tutorial |
Dimentio21 | 1 | reply to Arcadius2006 posted 3 years ago Why wouldn't you? |
Dimentio21 | 1 | reply to Mr. L Productions posted 3 years ago The only time Bowser ever felt like a good Villian was Mario Galaxy. He had magic powers (such as the Lightning from his hands in the intro cutscene and his Boulder form in the final boss), a huge fleet of airships that actually do damage instead of just hovering around aimlessly, the ability to create galaxies, a handful of giant boss monsters, and a base at the centre of the universe. |
Mr. L Productions | 2 | reply to Dimentio21 posted 3 years ago Oh, right. With the snack basket attack? Yeah, I remember that. For me as well, I hated the stupid Durmite but I loved that carrot eating mini-game with the enzymes. That was fun. Battling Midbus at Fawful Theatre also had some difficulties... |
Mr. L Productions | reply to Dimentio21 posted 3 years ago Yeah, that's true. He was actually powerful in SMG 1 and 2. Other than that...
Mr. L Productions 3 years ago | 6 | Who is the best villain in the Mario games? It can be normal Mario games, Paper Mario games, or Mario & Luigi Games. |
FishyG | 3 | Grodus was funny. Bleck was tragic. Bowser is a classic. One of those 3. |

Mr. L Productions | 2 | reply to FishyG posted 3 years ago Bleck was tragic. But also the best idea Nintendo ever created. Dimentio is good laughs. Fawful is chortles, Cackletta's Soul is the most evil battle you'll ever do. Antasma was kinda cool. Overall, the cast of Super Paper Mario wins for best villains: Count Bleck: Deep Backstory and has cool powers. O'Chunks: Funny but weak. O'Cabbage: Laughs Mimi: Haunting me with the spider form and taunting me with the 1,000,000 Rubee debt I actually tried to work of manually. Dimentio: Awesome. Great fun. Nastasia: Could take over the team with her hypno-powers if she wanted. Mr. L: Nice idea making Luigi a bad guy. |
Mr. L Productions 3 years ago | 8 | The Super Mario Bros. Movie... Who's seen it? And who regrets everything after seeing it? |
FishyG | 1 | I remember watching it like 6 times as a kid cause I thought it was cool. Now knowing Bob Hoskins took shots of whiskey between takes and that its a terrible movie I dont like it anymore. But nostalgia can get me to rewatch it eventually ;) Other than that. the real life incarnations of everything (except the bomb-omb) SUCKED ASS. |
FishyG | 1 | reply to Mr. L Productions posted 3 years ago Oh yeah forgot about Dimentio (how could I?) lol. |
Mr. L Productions | reply to Dimentio21 posted 3 years ago Exactly! This guy gets it!
Mr. L Productions | reply to FishyG posted 3 years ago I said the same thing! The Bob-Omb was pretty OK but the rest was terrible. I only watched, like, 20 times or something before I had to return the DVD. We rented it. I thought it was OK, overlooking how awful the thing was. WHY DO GOOMBAS PLAY THE HARMONICA???
Mr. L Productions | reply to FishyG posted 3 years ago How could anyone forget the Master of Dimensions and Pleaser of Crowds?

FishyG 3 years ago | 8 | Hey, if anyone wants to play TTYD 2, a team made a spiritual successor everyone says is really good, called "Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling" https://metro.co.uk/2020/05/29/bug-fables-everlasting-sapling-review-paper-mario-12775740/ |
TheEvilShadoo 3 years ago | 1 | Phantasy Star Online 2 had it’s official North American PC release yesterday. It’s not like PSO fans have been waiting 8 years for this or anything. It sucks that it has to be on the dreaded Microsoft Store, but that’s not going to stop me from grinding the hell out of it. |
TheEvilShadoo | 1 | reply to Mr. L Productions posted 3 years ago I can safely say that I’m too young for that sh!t. |
TheEvilShadoo | 1 | reply to Mr. L Productions posted 3 years ago I’ll send you to your Shadoom! |
TheEvilShadoo | reply to FishyG posted 3 years ago I thought that he was just some journalist trying to start up a new blog at first, but now I’m thinking that he’s a spammer trying to get free advertising on a site that’s only slightly more active than his own.
TheEvilShadoo | 2 | reply to FishyG posted 3 years ago I’m somewhat interested in this, but I don’t like how the author of that article tries to present his opinion that every PM game after TTYD “wasn’t any good” like it’s an objective fact. |
FishyG | Yeah but, I mean if its a game TTYD snobs can enjoy then its probably good, lol
Mr. L Productions | reply to TheEvilShadoo posted 3 years ago Same. But I've seen it. It's so bad but some people love it even though its bad!
Mr. L Productions | reply to TheEvilShadoo posted 3 years ago The Green Thunder strikes like lightning... HAVE AT YOU!
Mr. L Productions 3 years ago | Anybody else doing NUK vs Saturday tournament on Mariokart 8 Deluxe. If so, look for me from 10-4 on certain Saturdays, like today, under the name Mr. L. I usually use King Boo, Badwagon, Cyber Slick, Gold Glider.
Mr. L Productions | reply to TheEvilShadoo posted 3 years ago Yeah I agree. The TTYD people who don't understand or have the capability to understand the grandeur of Super Paper Mario, the best Paper Mario! SPM is legendary and can never be replaced in the present, in our memories, and in our hearts. R.I.P. Bleck and Tippi (or should we say Blumiere and Timpani).
kimilsung65 | 1 | Being a big fan of TTYD this is very interesting to me, I’ve never heard of it before and it seems like good timing since i’m getting a switch soon. It is however very frustrating to see the author of this article say SPM is no good… Absolute blasphemy!!! |
Dimentio21 | 1 | reply to Mr. L Productions posted 3 years ago You see, this is why we need a Super Paper Mario movie. Maybe if the director has an actual story to work with the product will actually have value. |
Dimentio21 | 1 | reply to Mr. L Productions posted 3 years ago Dimentio and Fawful are my favourites, they're both absolutely ridiculous and still manage to be the most successful Villians in the series. I always thought of Bowser in the paper Mario series as "slowly descending into insanity". In the first game, he's big, strong, can't powerful. In TTYD, Grodus takes Bowser's place as the main villain and jealousy overtakes him. In SPM, Count Bleck captures peach, rubs it in bowser's face by bringing her to his castle, then captures Bowser as well. He forces a wedding between them, takes control of the koopa troop, and Bowser is left with nothing but false hope. And his OP body, that is. In the new paper Mario, they got rid of his body as well and turned him into a napkin. No wonder Bowser's happier in the mainline games. (The Mario and Luigi games have bullied him too). |
Dimentio21 | 1 | reply to Mr. L Productions posted 3 years ago On my latest playthrough of the game I actually skipped getting the shy guy squad as an experiment, and Bowser can't use them as an attack in the Toadley clinic battle. Nice little detail, but it does mean you have to get good with the goombas to get past fawful theatre. |
Mr. L Productions | reply to kimilsung65 posted 3 years ago Blasphemy indeed! SPM is legendary
Mr. L Productions | reply to Dimentio21 posted 3 years ago They had talked about doing a SPM movie! I so wish they had, but it's lost in the past now... We need someone to make SPM into a movie and give us what we dreamed for. We need a prophesised hero to restore order to the world and give us this movie to stop the Dark Prognosticus from destroying cinema... Who will save us from memories of the old Super Mario Bros. Movie?
Mr. L Productions | reply to Dimentio21 posted 3 years ago True about Bowser and also, Fawful and Dimentio are my favourite villains, along with Count Bleck. "turned him into a napkin"... that made me laugh so much. True though. Bowser needs our sympathy
Mr. L Productions | reply to Dimentio21 posted 3 years ago I'd rather take my chances with the Shy Guy Squad. I need them. I only use Shy Guy Squad (until I get Broggy Bonker, which is way more OP). But Bowser's Shy Guy attack at Toadley's Clinic game overed me so many times...
Mr. L 3 years ago | I came 3rd on NUK VS Saturday Mariokart 8 Deluxe Tournament. The Green Thunder Strikes like Lightning. If anyone is interested and has a switch, exchange friend codes with me and online Mariokart 8 battle me, if anyone wishes.
Vaos | reply to TheEvilShadoo posted 3 years ago we poor few PS fans indeed
kimilsung65 | 1 | reply to Mr. L Productions posted 3 years ago I saw it many years ago. The Goombas... Thats all I'll say... |
