- requirements are knowledge of Japanese, experience with office tools like Excel & Word
- a love of Dragon Quest is also requested
- submit a resume and two writing samples
- first is an essay about what you think of the Dragon Quest series, your experiences, and where you want it to go in the future
- second is a short story with an escape theme
- short story must use three or more elements from this list: mouse, collection, murmur or muttering, ball, bunny girl, surprise, and your appearance.
- writing samples should be between 1,000 – 1,600 Japanese characters so roughly 1,000 – 1,600 words
