Who else is a fan of Skyward Sword's art style?

Well, with Wind Waker being my favorite console Zelda of all time, it's awesome that they took the cel-shaded turn again. Twilight Princess looked fine and all, but combining the two styles was an excellent decision on Nintendo's part.

Hopefully if they know better, they'll add SIDEQUESTS to this Zelda title. And people to talk to. I hated going through Castle Town in Twilight Princess and finding out I could only talk to about 4 people. >:U

Much better than TP's shitty style. Alot of the textures look very low res though, hopefully that will be fixed in the end.

Well, since they said it wouldn't be out til next year (spring, I'm guessing), I give it a good chance of having minor textural updates. It was slated for release this holiday season, but I'm kinda glad they pushed it back. They showed us some solid gameplay at the conference and in the trailer, so I trust their judgment.

I like it alot, it seems kind of like a mix between the dark and dirty style of TP and the cartoony light style of WW.

Big fan. I'd say it's a great compromise between Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. Lovin' it.

So far to me it just looks like they threw Windwaker's cel-shading onto Twilight Princesses' art-style, not thats a bad thing seeing as both styles bring there own element into the game. From what I've seen so far I'm expecting this new Zelda to be an orgasmic TP and Windwaker hybrid bringing in the exploration from Windwaker and the roughneck sense of battle that Twilight Princess had along with some new shit to keep things interesting

Personally, I'm not too fond of the cel-shading, and Link seems to looksa bit wierd, but other than that, the monsters are fine and everything.  Hope all the gimmicky items that Link gets actually work well.

I think Link looks great. All a matter of opinion, I suppose. Cel-shading works with Zelda games in general, to me, just because of the type of game that they are. They can be serious, but they're funny and light-hearted too, so the mix of styles with Skyward Sword was a great choice.

guys it's spelled cell shading
and idk if i like the windwaker shading style on the tp art style, it looks sort of unnatural. i guess i could get used to it though

Cel-shading.

I've seen it used either way, so it's a matter of personal taste.
