So I'm actively working on three different game projects righht now. One is going to be in flash, one in source, and the last one I'd like to do in source but I'd probably need to go find some dudes to help with it.

But that isn't the point, I'm making this topic to pitch an idea because you *crag*ers play games so you should know enough to know whether or not this appeals to you.

Basically it is a first person adventure game that takes place on a cruise ship. Your character starts off in the hull in conversation with another man, most probably the both work on the ship as engineers i'm still ironing out the basic plot, when the ship is breached and water starts flooding in.

That's boring though *crag* that, here is the interesting part.

It is at this point that everything freezes in place, as if life just pauses. But you can still move around. You can then set off to explore the ship and basically what you see in nearly every room are people who are about to be completely destroyed by torrents of water as the ship has begun to sink. You see these living corpses frozen in time, completely oblivious as to what is about to happen to them as soon as this mysterious hold over reality breaks.

The player is free to do as they please at this point. They can try to rescue these people from the fate, you can find a means of escape, you can try to determine what is causing these events, or all of the above.

Eventually what you discover is that your character has the ability to manipulte time is small pockets. The best example of how this would work is that the player would be able to touch someone's face to speak tot hem, but he wouldn't be able to move their entire body, or if he did it would disrupt the area so much as to cause whatever catastrophy is about to befall them to occur anyway.

It's still something I'm hammering out the mechanics on, I'll probably try to get a script written up before I'd actually try to do anything serious with it. I was mostly just completely in love with the idea of seeing people frozen right before their deaths, or how startling it would be to see a moving body after being isolated in completely stillness for so long.

If it doesn't sound great that's fine, the image in my head seemed so great at the time that I'm more than a little biased. I have a dozen other ideas that I could flesh out if this falls though, this is just the one that I'd like to do more with the most right now.

It has potential

I would play it. It sounds neat.

I need two other mother *crag*ers to try and take down all the demon's souls with, all you need to do is take down the first boss to get your coop stones and then post your PSN ID here.

I'd like to try a run at Tower Knight and maybe some other levels tonight, but whatever we'll figure it out.

Balloon Fight, Zelda 1 & 2, Metroid, Mario Bros., and Ice Climbers are the only games worth anything, but that's still six great games for free, and the only time they have been portable outside of those completely *crag*ing horrible NES rereleases on GBA.

And Balloon Fight and Ice Climbers were on E-Reader cards.

And Metroid was in Zero Mission.

And Mario Bros. Deluxe was really *crag*ing cool, but that isn't the point.

The point is shut the *crag* up and enjoy your free video games.

Claus
I really wish DKC2 Advanced was one of the GBA titles

After playing all of these I'm going to say Mario Bros. and Balloon Fight are the only ones that still hold up.

I'm going to try hosting a Gamma World campaign until Boreal gets his shit together. I will be handling all the cards, so right now just make your characters and post some sheets.

You'll still want to have the file for the cards though so you can look up the effects of the mutations and items you have.

I recommened rolling your origins before looking at any of their descriptions, it makes the game a lot more fun and forces you to come up with something truely original and different as far as character building goes.

We'll be using Fantasy Grounds as well, so if you don't already have it get it.

If you don't know what Gamma World is, it is basically the D&D rule set taking place in a world set a little over 100 years in the future after a group of scientists caused The Big Mistake, an event that mixed all the possible realities together into our reality, creating a new existence where a destroyed, irradiated world is now picked over by horribly deformed mutants and rabid cyborgs.

It's really crazy and anything goes. There is no limit to what could happen. I already have an adventure hook worked up that I think you guys will enjoy, and it will allow you to create any kind of character with any kind of origin and backstory and still play along so go *crag*ing wild with it.

More about Delta 41:
After the explosions that ended the old world, many groups lived in underground bunkers. In one of these bunkers was a group of scientists working on technology to help restore the earth to its initial state. They began with research on water purification, terraformation of earth to make it more hospitable, and the deirradiation of wildlife to make it safe for humans. During this time they developed robots to help them assist and defend their bunker from the various raiders and irradiated creatures of the world. As time passed the robots became more advanced and soon became the focus of most of their developments. One man, Otfried Rappel, realized that he could use the developments of the other programs to help further construction on the robots. These robots we're given more advanced AI to help them perform their new functions. Various series were created including the Charlie series, which specialized in purification of various natural resources, the Freid series, which specialized in elimination of hostile elements, and the Delta series, which was used mainly for bunker defense and completing objectives on the surface. Each of the various series we're given specific parts to help them accomplish their tasks. The Deltas were given a hard coating of earthen around their metallic casing to help them resist radiation on the surface and other forms of assault. Soon though a mysterious signal was sent out through the bunker and its surrounding area that drastically changed the programming of many of these robots and they destroyed the bunker and the important research they were doing there. Only some of the deltas that we're a far enough distance away from the signal so that it was too weak too permeate their earthy shells we're spared conversion. Before he was murdered, Mr. Rappel sent out a new directive to those few robots who managed to avoid conversion. He gave them the task to eliminate the source of the signal and destroy whoever created it.

I'm making this topic to summarize the events of the previous session in case anyone missed it or anyone new would like to get in.

Day One:

Our brave, mutated adventurers the rock man robot Detla (Rave), the photon wielding regeneton Jack (Boreal), and the radioactively animated cactus Gordon (Bremmy) awoke to find themselves trapped within the laboratory of a giant talking brain calling himsefl Dr. Nepheranis, enclosed in glass jars and bond by iron limbs. The good doctor revealed that he had plans for his new specimens, he need help gathering resources to finish up his new project, an experiment he was convinced would be able to bring new life back to the irratated wastes of Gamma Terra. He had a nasty bug problem with giant mutated roaches eating up all his electrical equipment, and on top of that one of his digital records of the Ancient times had gone missing and he was out 500 pounds of fish food needed to serve as raw protiens for the consturction of new life. His current line of help just couldn't get the job done, so to insure our boys would do just as he asked he installed a small bomb into each of their skulls, threatening to trigger the powerful explosives should they not conform to his demands. This death threat wasn't enough for Jack however, so Nepharinus promised to throw in a few Omega Techs as well should the party complete their end of the bargain.

Agreed that their best option was to complie with the doctor for now, he seemed like a good enough guy after all (if a bit insane), our three heroes were whisked away into the innards of the facility to complete their first taks, roach extermination. As they began their search for the mutant pests Nepharinus revealed one more surprise, they would not be going alone. From a chute above shot down Don, a very polite and perhaps too well manned blob, accesories included, who explained that he would be following the group and assisting them in their travels through the wastes, and blowing them up should they try to run away.

With their new companion in tow the adventurers set forth into the innards of the facility where they were attacked by an Arn, a large fly like creature, and several Roach Swarmers. Gordon rushed in and dispatched one of the roaches quite handely, but will our heroes be able to survive the rest of what lurks within Dr. Nepharinus's basement?
