The following email was sent by GAME to explain why the collector's edition of A Link Between Worlds has been halted.

Unfortunately we have had to temporarily remove The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds GAME Exclusive Collectors Edition due to a fault with the download code for the Pre Order bonus code for The Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening.

We are looking into this issue and will hopefully have this available for purchase as soon as possible.

I apologise for any disappointment this may cause.

Thank you for your patience with this matter.

The image above comes from the front of Boutique Couture in Lumiose City. That familiar shape in a Pokemon game, seemingly visible for no reason. It's bringing up lots of comparisons to Missingno from the original Pokemon X/Y. Could this be a little Easter egg for longtime fans, or is it just a mistake?

Burlingame, CA. - October 22, 2013 - Natsume Inc., a worldwide developer and publisher of family-oriented video games, today launches its highly-anticipated new title, Hometown Story. Designed by the Harvest Moon series creator, Yasuhiro Wada, Hometown Story is out now for the Nintendo 3DS with a suggested retail price of $39.99 USD. Hometown Story is rated E10+.

"With over 100 characters in your hometown to meet and interact with, the decisions players make will impact their game each time they play," said Hiro Maekawa, President and CEO at Natsume Inc. "With the adorable Pochica at your side, your shop will grow from a tiny market to a bustling social center for the whole town to visit!"

In a lush, green village tucked away in the countryside, players will reunite with old friends and meet new ones. After the recent passing of your grandmother, the shop you've inherited has brought you back to your hometown. However, the shop has become run down, and no one wants to even window shop there anymore. Can you turn the shop around and even expand it, or is it destined to stay in the red forever? The more items you sell, the more customers will come to your shop, and as you manage your shop better you can expand and the village will prosper! Hometown Story takes players to a fantastic world filled with color and hope.

You won't have to go it alone, though. With help from a magical sprite named Pochica, you'll get the store back up and running, along with introducing you to all of the unique characters who reside in the town. The villagers will all change and grow throughout the game, and that person who you thought might be up to no good when you first met them just might have a heart of gold! Another day, another trademark grab from a game company. Today we have Square-Enix, who has seen fit to grab the name Lost Crusade. As usual with these registrations, we don't really have any idea what it's all about. We'll have to hang tight until more info leaks or Square-Enix clues us in.

A portion of an MCV interview with Activision’s UK MD, Roy Stackhouse...

MCV: How long can Skylanders go on for?

RS: As long as the innovation continues to be as great as it is, then I don’t see it having a limited shelf life. The reason I say that is because if you think about the possibilities in this category, what has been achieved with Swap Force and its innovation, and the endless possibilities in terms of the Skylanders universe. This must be a creative goldmine to work on because a child’s imagination is one of the most fertile in the world, and if you can tap into that then there is endless opportunity for innovation.

MCV: In a recent financial call, some analysts wondered if Skylanders could become the next Guitar Hero. Go from boom to bust. What do you make of that?

RS: It is certainly not another Guitar Hero. The two franchises are completely different target markets and market position. Let’s not lose focus, Guitar Hero was a phenomenal success, absolutely huge, like Skylanders is now. But I struggle to see the comparison.

A portion of a Polygon review...

Traveller's Tales has embraced their love of superheroes and used it to build an imaginative, expansive game. Anyone could enjoy Lego Marvel Super Heroes' tightly-designed systems and colorful world, but for someone who grew up reading The Avengers — or is growing up watching them now — it offers something I never thought I'd see: a virtual recreation of a huge swath of the Marvel Universe in all its sensational, astonishing and uncanny glory.
