Metal Max 4 (9/9/9/8, 35 of 40 points):

"The gameplay system still gives you lots of freedom and the introduction of animation and voices gives you a pretty dramatic story to enjoy. A lot of the improvements, such as the ability to switch settings mid-battle, make things easier for the player, making it a really smooth experience to play. The autorun function is really appreciated, too, considering the distances you often have to go." - Reona Ebihara
"The level of freedom you get is reminiscent of MMORPGs. You can customize the play environment to your own liking, which is really convenient. What's more, the game starts out a bit on the easy side before getting tough midway — a very fair balance that makes the game surprisingly approachable to all walks of gamer, despite how off-beat the system is." - Rolling Uchizawa

Take a look at the cover for Capcom's annual report this year...

Mega Man...powered by fans, then shut down by Capcom. Mega Man is loved by all, says the document. That might be true if we're talking about people outside of Capcom!

Thank you for all your patience everyone. The patch is almost approved through all first party certifications and once that's one, we'll release them all at the same time, I'll let you know when that happens. Here's a condensed list of the changes you should see.

-Pogo fix- Some users reported that the pogo was unreliable. Tweaking the window at which the game looks for the pogo input seems to have fixed the issue. It seems that it was too short and that some users set ups were dropping input frames

-Flashing characters- Got rid of the flashing characters.

-Wii U crashing on the leaderboards

-Duckworth sometimes fails to lower down the safe.

-The title crashes to a black screen when skipping the pre-race cinematic of Magica and Glomgold.

-In certain conditions the title would fail to respawn correctly after a failed attempt for the race to the dime.

We've also addressed several stability and crash issues, but the above were the most reported. If you have an issue you don't see, please check the patch if it's still there when the patch comes out.

We also added the below item due to a large request:

Quick Cinema mode- This mode will skip most of the cutscenes when activated. The option will show up if you have at least one playthrough completed, even it if was pre-patch. It's not a true speedrun option like we wanted to, butsome areas, like removing the random number events proved to be risky.

Thanks again for all of your support and we hope the fixes will improve your experience with DuckTales.

Thanks to Connor for the heads up!

- Players will be able to encounter and fight off both Lucifer and Beelzebub as mega bosses.
- To fight them you'll have to actively touch a menacing black dragon icon.
- This will show up on the lower mini-map screen.
- Whether they retain their movesets from the Final Fantasy series is unknown.
- Players must pass them to you through WiFi correspondence before the demons will invade your realm.

There are conflicting reports if the pre-order bonus map Free Fall will be available on Wii U. Vooks asked a local Activision rep for answers and they had the following to say:

''It's just not confirmed for the day one release, but there is definitely a chance that it will become available at a later stage.''

This is part of an IGN for TMNT on the Nintendo 3DS...

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on 3DS features the strong writing and characterization of the Nickelodeon show, but the gameplay is simply too repetitive and simple for older fans, and it's too short to keep a younger players busy even for a long car ride. The upgrades are a nice addition to the classic brawler formula, but the strange lack of multiplayer makes for a boring solitary affair. Though a decent choice for kids, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles simply doesn't cater to the show's wide audience.

UPDATE - Looks like Daan had some times wrong. He'll be doing his regular slot today!

Some sad news about this NintenDaan stint, gang. Daan is only going to be here until 9 PM East Coast time. We're in-between time changes in our parts of the world, so we're losing an hour with our favorite guy this week! All should be back to normal come next week.

Long story short, enjoy your time with Daan today while you can! I'll be back before you know it.

Just like the event the Milan Games Week, Activision ran the same contest at the Paris Games Week. The Milan event ended with attendees getting pushed about and a broken/busted booth. Not surprisingly, the same sort of chaos happened at this event as week.

A portion of a Siliconera review...

Ultimately, if I knew the conclusion, I didn’t care about how the crime took place or why the events happened in the first place. This means there was little driving me to finish the game.
