We are at 6 days today (soon to be 5). If you know any popular blogs that you frequent or news sites, they typically have a news tip section. You could tip them about us if you would like to help in that way. Or tweet/facebook about us. :)

Now as for the updates about the project. Since it's starting to look gloomy for us, I think if this fails I may end up switching to just simply porting the first game and releasing that on multiple devices. Ping 2 will be put on hold for quite a while as I can't afford to put that much time in a project without any income coming in.

A portion of a Eurogamer review...
Like its predecessors, Lego Marvel has surface flaws - but it's so generous with its content, so clearly head-over-heels in love with the characters and world it's inherited from the comic page and cinema screen, and so reliably, reassuringly designed from the ground up to both enchant and inspire young minds, that it's impossible to allow the slight technical scruffiness to sour the experience.

The following comes from a Polygon interview with game writer Jeffrey Yohalem...

- combat system is based largely on that of Grandia 2
- sneak up on enemies in order to gain an advantage in battle
- dropping in on them from above or behind will let Aurora attack first
- battle takes place on several raised platforms
- these were inspired by the designs of opera sets
- bottom of the screen shows a bar that tracks the amount of time between each combatant's attack
- small pictures of each combatant will move along the bar as they prepare to attack
- at the end of the bar is a smaller bar colored red
- characters that are attacked while their picture is in the red zone will have their attack "interrupted"
- this resets the charging time
- script dialogue is structured like an epic ballad, with every second and fourth line rhyming

"Battles are based on cleverness, not dexterity — they require a lot of logic and strategy. You win fights and earn rewards based on cleverness. We wanted to create something minimalistic that would welcome new [JRPG] players in. We wanted to show people how we felt with the games we had growing up, and we feel there's an audience out there who has never played a game like this. Then there are people who miss games like this. We wanted to create a deep, passionate story and world that would welcome new players to this type of game.

Video games are still in their infancy, so this might not prove true on the future, but I feel gameplay evolves through society, not an individual. I think it's difficult for an individual to create a fun game, let's say — it's something that evolves organically over centuries, like chess. It takes time to develop these rules, and I think we have a toolbox of mechanics that we know are fun and interesting and as designers we play with those mechanics.

If you go off and create something that doesn't build on that any of those, it's difficult to create something that people enjoy playing. It's great to create something from nowhere, but most of the time you make that thing and then players go, 'We like what you're trying to do but we'll stop after five minutes.' We know here we have something people miss and that people love. We can build on it."

REDMOND, Wash., Nov. 11, 2013 – Norwegian Cruise Line and Nintendo of America announced today that they are expanding their partnership to offer Wii U™ video game systems and Wii U games fleetwide. As part of the partnership expansion, the line will feature Nintendo's newest video game console in all ships' atriums and youth and teen centers. In addition, the new HD Wii U systems will be featured at various competitions and events on board each ship.

Norwegian first partnered with Nintendo in March 2007, when Wii™ systems were introduced fleetwide. Now, with the introduction of Wii U, the successor to Wii, the gaming experience is being elevated to new levels. The interactive Wii U gaming system complements Norwegian's Freestyle Cruising® by offering gaming opportunities to guests of all ages. The new consoles give guests the chance to experience a variety of new action, adventure, party, racing, strategy, puzzle and sports games. Upcoming game rollouts will include The Legend of Zelda™: The Wind Waker HD, a high-definition re-release of one of the greatest Nintendo games of all time; Super Mario™ 3D World, the first multiplayer 3D Mario game for Wii U; New Super Luigi U™, starring Mario's green-clad brother; Pikmin™ 3, which asks players to command an army of colorful creatures; and The Wonderful 101™, which puts players in control of a band of superheroes fighting off an alien invasion.

Wii U delivers great video game experiences with exclusive Nintendo characters in HD. Wii U also features the GamePad controller, which removes the traditional barriers between players, their favorite games and the television by giving one player a second touch screen, while other players use traditional controllers. That lets different players experience the same game in different ways. It's perfect for the kinds of multiplayer game-playing parties found on board cruise ships.

"The Wii consoles have always been extremely popular among our guests," said Richard Ambrose, Norwegian Cruise Line's vice president of entertainment. "The new Wii U systems are guaranteed to take gaming on board to the next level, and will surely be a hit."

"Wii U provides one of the most social video game experiences you can have, whether you're playing with family members or friends," said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. "The ships in Norwegian Cruise Line's fleet give people a great opportunity to experience Wii U for themselves, have fun playing Nintendo games and make some new friends."

Before you get all up in arms about this article, I'm going to give you the perfect example of why it's not even worth worrying about. Here's an excerpt from the article below.

In less than two weeks, Microsoft's Xbox One will go on sale. At $500, it's far more expensive than the Wii U's $300, but for the money, Microsoft's machine provides far more value. In addition to serving as a true next-generation video-game console, the Xbox One is packed with entertainment features that could appeal strongly to Nintendo's core market.

Man, I don't think I could have worded a better paragraph to complete devalue my opinion, but there it is! I'm only sharing this because a bunch of you guys sent it in, so feel free to read it and comment your thoughts!

A portion of a Siliconera review...

If you’ve played Mighty Switch Force! 2 for the 3DS, then you know what to expect from the Wii U port. With the exception of some touched-up interstitial screens and MiiVerse compatibility, as well as the ability to play on the big screen or gamepad, the game has remained relatively unchanged.

While the game strives for eggcellence, the game walks the line of changing its name to Trash Boat. Let’s hope that WayForward gets another shot at the license and makes it as awesome as Fist Pump.

Coming from a PCGamesn interview with Mark Rubin...

“There are companies out there who have been copying that formula – won’t name ‘em because you already know exactly who they are – but it doesn’t necessarily work for them. And Rockstar, and also games like Skyrim, they have a different formula that does work for them. Neither formula is better than another but studios, actually publishers really, need to figure out that the Call Of Duty formula doesn’t work for everyone.”

Coming from a Metro interview with Infinity Ward executive producer Mark Rubin.

"yeah. It makes sense. I wouldn't count it out. Everything's on the table. When we start a new game every possibility's on the table. If we think that it'd be cool to have a battle over Jupiter, sure. Why not?"
