A portion of a NWR review...

Metroid Fusion is a fun adventure in the franchise and a must have for fans of the series. The gameplay is smooth, the graphics look great, and the story is not to be missed. While there is some minor slowdown and the entire experience is a bit short, these are minor missteps when looking at the entire picture.

A portion of a Nintendo Life review...

Metroid Fusion is a fantastic start to the GBA Virtual Console library, and if later additions can be of this calibre then it will prove to be a phenomenal service indeed.

It was horrifying. The mood was already set when the game pitted you into a derelict space station inhabited by zombie-researchers with your arsenal of weaponry gained from Super removed, but the introduction of the SA-X well and truly forged the fact that you were completely helpless. While your first sight of it is a close up of it’s pupil-less, green face as it stares directly at you is menacing enough, things get even more daunting later when the music is quashed to the sound of metal-on-metal as the monster patrols the area, hunting for you as you scrambled for a spot to hide. It’s enough to send anyone’s heart racing, and if you were unlucky enough for it to actually spot you, well, all power to you if you could escape it.

I've never really played much of the GBA's library, so I'll have to take this guy's word for it. What do you think.. is there some merit to his claim, or do you have a better counter-offer?
