Harley Quinn's rampagement begins today on PSN and Xbox 360, and runs through PC in early June. The DLC is part of the Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition, which includes previous packs featuring Catwoman, Nightwing and Robin.

Harley Quinn's Revenge is a plotty affair, beginning with players as Robin as he tracks down Batman, who has gone missing after Arkham City's final moments. Control shifts between Robin and Batman, but is contained to the DLC's world and any previously released challenge maps.

We assume the closed-world setting is a metaphor for the psychological cage that Harley constructed during her time with The Joker, but hey, we're not the psychiatrists here. She is.

Update: Yes, it looks like Harley has made her way to Xbox 360 today as well. Also, Spoiler: There are clownish thugs in Harley Quinn's Revenge.

#batman Robin plays a big part in the Harley Quinn's Revenge DLC that hits Batman: Arkham City today. Yeah, it's apparently not that great. But the character's presence in the add-on reminds me that people exist who really, really hate the Boy Wonder. I mean, folks who rabidly rail against the very idea of a Robin. More »

#batman If you thought you had discovered everything in Batman: Arkham City or, if not, it could be found on GameFAQs or in some other corner of the web, well, that's not so, says the game's studio. There are still "three or four" secrets in the game that no one has yet found, the game's director said in a panel discussion at London this weekend. More »

Sometimes, it’s easy to forget that sidekicks have a purpose. They are, after all, easily kidnapped by arch-nemeses, generally ineffective unless dwelling in their natural habitat of the hero’s shadow, and rarely capable of putting together a costume that doesn’t implicitly beg for a super-powered swirly. I have to say, though, that Batman: Arkham City’s Harley Quinn’s Revenge DLC looks pretty promising. Robin’s doing his best Ezio impression while searching for his missing Batmentor, and Harley Quinn seems to have completely lost it, which has apparently put her in a bit more of a murdering mood than usual. Admittedly, the “Payback’s a bitch” tagline seems a bit ill-advised given Arkham City’s less-than-savory history with the word, but the rest looks rather impressive. Grapple past the break for the full trailer.

Poor Harley Quinn. First the Joker breaks her mind, and then The Batman breaks her heart. It's nice to see that she's not wallowing in self-pity, though, and that she's got the initiative to get back out in the world and make a name for herself. Granted, she's using homicide to do so, but still, good for her.

This latest trailer for Ms. Quinzel's starring role as an Arkham City DLC antagonist gives us a look at the various brow beatings Batman and Robin will dispense to the citizenry of Gotham's beating lunatic heart, as well as somewhat unsettling introduction from the man in white himself.

The Harley Quinn's Revenge DLC coming to Batman: Arkham City has been detailed, and it sounds like a departure from the game. Instead of an open-world affair, the DLC is story driven, initially placing you in Robin's boots and tasking you with finding Batman, who's been lost chasing Harley Quinn after the final events of the main game. The story time-shifts, explaining where Batman is and what he's been up to by switching viewpoints a few times.

Robin still doesn't have the chance to wander Arkham in full - he'll only be able to explore this content and any previously released challenge maps. Harley Quinn is scheduled to get her revenge on May 29, for $9.99 on PSN, or 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live.

You may have noticed that April 30 came and went without so much as a peep from the young Miss Harleen Quinzel, and that her purported plans for vengeance have yet to procure reparations for, well, you know.

That's because the original date we had listed for the Batman: Arkham City add-on, Harley Quinn's Revenge, was incorrect. The tweet that originally gave us the April 30 date has been amended, listing May 29 as the content's correct worldwide release date. In hindsight, that makes a bit more sense considering that the Game of the Year Edition also hits that day.

Though our minds know another month isn't that long of a wait, our hearts are just as broken as Harley's. Come, ease the pain with this absurdly high-resolution version of the cover art seen above.

Revenge is a dish best served cold – or at least lukewarm, in this case. On the upside, Batman: Arkham City’s story-concluding DLC-based chapter is en route to PC, Warner told Eurogamer. That, however, is where things take an almost amusingly convoluted turn into asylum-worthy madness. So, first off, the PC version of Arkham City: Game of the Year Edition – to which the DLC’s launch is tethered – has no release date beyond “TBC.” The console versions, meanwhile, appear to have had their releases scheduled by Warner’s executive VP of wearing a blindfold and throwing darts at things. In the US? May 29. Fair enough. Everywhere else, though? September 7 – just in time to get totally buried in the holiday game avalanche. If the PC version follows release tradition, that could see it swinging in to save the day well after the nick of time in October. Catch an incredibly brief glimpse of the DLC in action after the break.

For those who just couldn't get enough of developer Rocksteady's slightly grating, over-sexualized mall goth rendition of Harley Quinn from Batman: Arkham City, does Warner Bros. ever have an announcement for you!

Look, I'll take this Harley over the mail-order Sexy Nurse costume from the first game, but still. Yeesh.

Confirming rumors that popped up when PlayStation 3 trophies for the DLC began to surface, WB confirmed that Harley Quinn's Revenge will be dropping as DLC for owners of the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Arkham City on May 30. The DLC is a two-hour addition to the campaign that features both Batman and Robin as playable characters, as they attempt to shut down yet another insidious plan by the Joker's right-hand lady person and "shut the gates on the urban mega-prison forever."

The announcement of the DLC comes side-by-side with the announcement of a Batman: Arkham City: Game of the Year Edition, which will hit stores in North America on May 29, and the UK September 7. The GOTY edition packs in all of the previous DLC--which included a wide variety of Batman skins, Nightwing and Robin packs, the Catwoman story pack, and a whole bunch of challenge maps--as well as this new Harley Quinn campaign.

While I am not terribly fond of Harley as portrayed by Rocksteady's writers, I am fond enough of Arkham City to put up with a bit more of her in the name of wringing a couple of extra hours of thug beating out of the game. Here's hoping someone over there did a find-and-replace on the Harley Quinn's Revenge script looking for the word "bitch," and then proceeded to make liberal use of the delete button. By the time I finished the original campaign, it was as if the word had lost all meaning.

The Harley Quinn-related teases have led to this: today's announcement of a "Game of the Year Edition" re-release of Batman: Arkham City. Coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 May 29, the new version contains the "Harley Quinn's Revenge" expansion, along with the previously released Robin, Catwoman, and Nightwing packs and a set of alternate skins.

In addition to all the in-game content (henceforth referred to as "those wonderful toys") the GOTY edition will contain a download of the Batman: Year One animated movie.

It looks like that unannounced, Harley Quinn-oriented DLC pack for Batman: Arkham City we caught wind of earlier this month has moved one step closer to becoming official. The Arkham City twitter account tweeted the above teaser image of feet and hammer earlier this morning, immediately proceeded by an unattributed quote: "Don't worry. This is all part of of my plan."

Very mysterious, but given Harley Quinn's historical propensity for comically large mallets, we think inferring her involvement is justified. Personally, we're keeping our fingers crossed for a collection of Whack-A-Mole minigames staring Ms. Quinzel.
