This version includes performance tuning that should improve app stability, graphics display, audio playback, framerate, and multiplayer connectivity for many players. Miscellaneous AI, game play, and user interface improvements have also been made.

It also includes changes to the way some things work:
• Yeva, Nature's Herald now has 4 toughness.
• Firewing Phoenix now has 2 toughness.
• When the AI has many creatures it is no longer able to avoid blocking Taunting Elf.
• Enchanting a creature with Mind Control correctly applies summoning sickness.
• The Say Your Praetors Challenge now correctly records which of the five possible solutions have been used.

As was foretold in the great crystal ball that is this website you're reading, Ronimo Games' Awesomenauts is now available on Steam. You can pick up Awesomenauts on Steam in three flavors: the standalone game for $9.99, the game with the soundtrack for $11.99, or in a three-pack for $19.98. The soundtrack is also available as a $2.99 download.

The Steam version is Windows PC-only right now, but it hopefully won't be a long hold-out. Ronimo Games has said the Mac version will launch "shortly afterwards" the PC version is available.

Conquest of the Wizardlands, all new DLC for Dungeons of Dredmor, is Now Available on Steam!

Deep within the pocket dimensions of the Wizardlands, the mighty Wizardkings plunge their hands greedily into their stashes of magical wizarding booze, desperately searching for more mana. Their time has passed, and they have faded into the drunken myths of obscurity. Some of them can still be seen on street corners, but most people just give them five zorkmids and walk away.

While the Wizardkings have faded into the hangover-fuelled mists of time, their artifacts of power corrupt the world. Powerful wizarding keys, strewn about the Dungeons of Dredmor during a grand night out, threaten the very reality of existence. Mystical wizarding graffiti, spray-painted on the walls during a particularily good party, holds the secrets of other worlds.

If you're like most people, when Steam started up this morning you noticed there was an extra pop-up prompting you to click a button that says "I agree" a few times, and you did this without reading much into what you were consenting to. Turns out you don't actually "own" your left hand anymore. Oh, well.

Actually, it was an updated Steam Subscriber Agreement altering the legal options available to customers. First, Steam customers may no longer bring class action claims against the service, mirroring similar moves by large distribution and publishing companies, including Sony and Microsoft.

"We considered this change very carefully. It's clear to us that in some situations, class actions have real benefits to customers," Valve explains. "In far too many cases however, class actions don't provide any real benefit to users and instead impose unnecessary expense and delay, and are often designed to benefit the class action lawyers who craft and litigate these claims."

Individual claims will still be allowed, though Valve has now instituted a required process that channels these claims to arbitration or small claims court. Valve will reimburse the cost of arbitration under a certain amount, provided the arbitrator deems the claim isn't frivolous nor the expenses unreasonable.

Valve is also opening an office in Luxembourg "to better serve our EU customers and partners," who will sign an EU-specific SSA.

Hey, at least you still own your left hand.

Legally binding agreements that rule out class-action lawsuits are nothing new on our little slice of the technological frontier. In fact, last year it basically became the thing all the cool kids were doing, with Microsoft, Sony, and EA each sneaking similar clauses into those George R. R. Martin-length novels people scroll past when they start new games. Valve, however, is taking an intriguingly different approach. The company who’s been known to show up to parties with a nametag that reads “Hello, my name is ‘PC gaming’” put out an announcement detailing the exact reasoning behind the change, and it promises this is just as much about customers’ best interests as it is Valve’s.

Every so often we need to update the Steam Subscriber Agreement (SSA) and Valves Privacy Policy. These documents are the terms to which you (and all Steam users) agreed when first creating an account. Whenever we need to make changes to these agreements we like to bring the changes to your attention and explain why theyre necessary. The next time you log in to Steam youll be asked to read and agree to the new terms.

This time around there are a number of changes reflected in both documents including the opening of a new Valve office in Luxembourg to better serve our EU customers and partners. If you live in the EU, your SSA will be with our Luxembourg subsidiary Valve S.a.r.l. and the SSA has been amended to reflect additional terms specific to our EU customers. We've added other terms related to the Steam Wallet and Steam trading to accommodate new features and capabilities of Steam.

Were also introducing a new dispute resolution process that will benefit you and Valve. Recently, a number of companies have created similar provisions which have generated lots of discussion from customers and communities, and weve been following these discussions closely. On Steam, whenever a customer is unhappy with any transaction, our first goal is to resolve things as quickly as possible through the normal customer support process. However in those instances in which we can't resolve a dispute, we've outlined a new required process whereby we agree to use arbitration or small claims court to resolve the dispute. In the arbitration process, Valve will reimburse your costs of the arbitration for claims under a certain amount. Reimbursement by Valve is provided regardless of the arbitrators decision, provided that the arbitrator does not determine the claim to be frivolous or the costs unreasonable.

Most significant to the new dispute resolution terms is that customers may now only bring individual claims, not class action claims. We considered this change very carefully. Its clear to us that in some situations, class actions have real benefits to customers. In far too many cases however, class actions dont provide any real benefit to users and instead impose unnecessary expense and delay, and are often designed to benefit the class action lawyers who craft and litigate these claims. Class actions like these do not benefit us or our communities. We think this new dispute resolution process is faster and better for you and Valve while avoiding unnecessary costs, and that it will therefore benefit the community as a whole.

Thanks for reading through our thoughts on these updates and for your continued use of Steam.
