AVSEQ is now available on PC and Mac!

AVSEQ is an audio-visual sequencer puzzle game. Connect falling atoms to unlock near-endless varieties of music at each stage. Every level of AVSEQ is a music sequencer with 2.2300745198530623×10^43 possible audio permutations, thats 22 tredecillion in total!

No, we're not making those numbers up. We actually did the math. This is a generative music game designed by procedural systems wizard Tom Betts, and it provides a colorful, beautiful challenge to even the most hardcore of puzzle-game experts.

Tiny Troopers came out on mobile platforms (including iOS) a little while back, but the pint-sized real-time strategy RPG is now headed to the PC and Mac this Friday, August 24, courtesy of developers Kokouri and Iceberg Interactive. The game has you guiding small soldiers of various classes through a series of 30 missions, with objectives like destroying enemy structures or saving hostages.

As you can see from the screenshots below, the PC version of the game looks practically identical to the mobile version, though of course you'll be controlling the proceedings with a mouse and keyboard rather than a touchscreen. Tiny Troopers will be available for purchase on Steam or any other fine digital stores near you.

Previously exclusive to a certain tier of backers for the Idle Thumbs Kickstarter drive, Blendo Games' Thirty Flights of Loving is available for purchase on Steam today. The self-proclaimed "first person short story" is a sequel to the indie outfit's previous game, Gravity Bone.

Thirty Flights of Loving is available for 10 percent off until August 27, for $4.49 - at which point it'll go back to the full price of $4.99. If you're not thrilled about the whole DRM thing, you can purchase a copy of Thirty Flights of Loving directly through Blendo's site.

Three new DLC packs for Sleeping Dogs have landed on Steam, running $3 a pop. There's the Red Envelope Pack, which sends players on a hunt throughout Hong Kong for 20 red envelopes stuffed with $50,000 each, netting an eventual $1 million (HK dollars, that is).

Next up is the Top Dog Gold Pack, which nets players 8,250 Triad, 4,500 Cop and 4,500 extra Face Experience Points. The High Roller Pack provides $200,000 and early access to the luxury Tuono vehicle and High Roller suit, both of which can be earned otherwise by playing the game.

Today, every Steam user can install a free spectator app for DOTA 2. The spectator app lets you watch any recent or live matches, plus all of the upcoming matches going down as part of The International tournament.

You'll be able to check out DOTA 2 matches from the perspective of players, or via a directed view of the match, complete with commentary. Eventually the spectator client will be rolled into the final game client ,once DOTA 2 officially launches. The spectator client is a standalone app for the time being.

War of the Roses is a team based third person action game set in 15th century England. Gameplay:
• Added the Weapons Course to the game.

UI:
• Voice notification can now show more players talking.
• Updated the freeze panel to no longer show the heath for your killer in competitive mode.
• Added an option in the menu to disable the game instructor messages.
• Update to the player info panel to no longer show achievement alerts.
• Update to the leaderboard screen to default to Friends filter.
• Added the Total Games Played leaderboard category.
• Updated the Play With Friends screen:
-- Made the chat window bigger so text is no longer cut off.
-- Adjusted the size of dimming when the focus changes between friends list and lobby list. It used to obscure the friends list and a little of the chat. Now it only obscures the friends list.

Bug Fixes:
• Updated the radio command panel so that the radio panel doesn't end up at the top of the screen during a mode that doesn't have a money panel.
• Set Classic Casual deadtalk to 0 to encourage fair play.
• Fixed the freeze panel dynamic positioning that would allow it to go too high.
• Fixed a missing text string displayed when player is not connected to Steam in leaderboards.
• Fixed a bug where the Mag7 could be bought by Ts via console commands.
• Fixed a bug where adding favorite server was not functional in the Community Server UI.
• Fixed a bug in the Play With Friends lobby where using left and right on keyboard or gamepad made the screen unresponsive.
• Fixed a bug in the Play With Friends lobby where typing in the Chat window would cause player names to flicker in the friends list.
• Fix for voice/chat/radio messages. Better unified the handling of voice and chat messages.
-- Chat messages now correctly use sv_allchat (instead of sv_alltalk), which should be more consistent with other source games.
-- Team-only communications now are not affected by sv_allchat/sv_alltalk, which means that private communications to one's team stay private, regardless of game mode.
-- Team-only communication is also not overridden by sv_full_alltalk, which allows teams to privately communicate strategy during warmup time and intermission.
-- Radio commands are considered team-only, so these should still be usable for tactics during games with sv_alltalk enabled (e.g. casual).
-- Spectators no longer hear team-only communications, except when sv_spec_hear is mode 2 (hear/see comms of the spectated teams).

Audio:
• Increased the audible range of the c4 plant and disarm sounds.
• Fixed audio randomly chirping/screeching on certain levels.

Matchmaking:
• Tuned lobby distance computations when performing matchmaking.
• Exposed a convar ("mm_csgo_community_search_players_min") for community quick match to look for community servers having at least specified number of human players already playing.

Community:
• Shipped zombie model to support the Zombie Mod
