Kerbal Space Program is a multi-genre game where players create their own space program.

In KSP, you must build space-worthy craft, capable of flying your crew out into space, without killing them. Akaneiro: Demon Hunters is Now Available on Steam!

Hints of Little Red Riding Hood combine with Japanese folklore and illustrated in Spicy Horse's unique dark fantasy style, "Akaneiro: Demon Hunters" is an action-roleplaying game (ARPG) that lets players hunt mythical monsters in Edo-era Japan.

Mousechief, the veteran indie developer responsible for Dangerous High School Girls in Trouble, launched the first part of his next series, 7 Grand Steps, on June 7. Less than one week later, it's on track to bring in $100,000, Keith Nemitz (Mousechief) told me at E3's IndieCade expo.

Nemitz has been invited to one other IndieCade showing already, and he's been a finalist at GDC's Independent Games Festival three times over. Nemitz has been working on 7 Grand Steps for the past four years, and it was a finalist in this year's IGF.

Seven Grand Steps is on sale for 10 percent off on Steam, $13.50, through June 14.

It's easy to see, right away, why Sony went after former Ubisoft developers Red Barrels to get their indie game, Outlast, on the PlayStation 4. Not only is the horror/exploration game atmospheric and frightening, but it's a great showcase for the hardware.

In Outlast, you play a reporter who brings a video camera to an old abandoned asylum, in search of a story. The game is seen through your digital camera's lens, both as you wander through the empty hallways and when you flip on the terrifying black-and-white night vision filter.

Through the eyes of that camera, the whole game looks like a recovered snuff film of sorts, where you serve as both cameraman and victim. The motion and style of the game are both realistic, and sometimes (or often, depending on your tolerance for such things) disturbingly so. The camera's digital artifacts and heads-up display help sell the excellent graphics, and the whole experience found my scaredy-cat brain constantly having to remind myself that what I was seeing wasn't real.

Over 400 "contributors and partners" have been paid over ten million dollars for their creations ever since Valve started letting fans design - and sell - Team Fortress 2 gear. In highlighting the sum, Valve pays particular attention to the users behind the recent Robotic Boogaloo update, which was made by around sixty fans and raked in over $250,000. Valve takes a 15% cut of every item it sells in the game, meaning that the company has made a solid $1.5 million profit of that $10 mil, just by selling items it didn't even make. NEW MODDING FEATURES:
-New sample mods, "sampleprefab" and "samplecharacter", which includes an art template for character skins.
-Reworked the loading of textures and other assets so you no longer have to use package.path, LoadPrefabDefs, LoadPrefabs, or prefabs.xml
-This does require the use of PrefabFiles and Assets in modmain.lua, see the sample mods for an example.
-Can overwrite basically any asset just by putting it in the same relative path in a mod folder.
-Lots of improvements to error reporting, and generally more helpful errors when something isn't working.
-Crafting menu tab spacing is now dynamic, so adding a new entry to RECIPETABS will automatically align the tab bar.
-Container widgets can have a custom background image specified.
-World gen scripts can now be overridden from a mod. Time to make some crazy places!
-Mods now have access to luasockets on windows. (dun dun DUUUUUN!)

Call of Juarez Gunslinger Update 1.02

Changes:
- Quick access to users' profiles is now possible directly from any leaderboard menu
- New game option allows to "de-pimp" legendary weapons' in order to use standard (regular) skins
- Extra directional arrows are now displayed next to action keys during Quick Time Events sequences when played on mouse/keyboard

This is an interesting build! So interesting, we didnt want to hold it from you any longer. There are a *lot* of ideas cooking in here. If youve been following along on the blog, we spent a couple weeks crunching on some ideas. There were a bunch of ups and downs, mostly downs … because were falling... thats a BASE jumping joke guys, we had a great time.

NEW LEVELS: Dave and Ichiro have been working on tying music and level design together (see levels 3-1 and 4), making sure levels change over time so as to allay boredom (see level 3), and have added tutorials (levels 1 and 2).

STORY: Azumi Pentak, 27, Boston Sky. Only daughter of Gertrude Pentak and Azumi Azahi. Punched her musical jury and went into Machine Intelligence. Blind by birth. Hacks her vision.
