Sorry this was so late, I went to the french circus.
So what did ya'll think of the stream? Suggestions? Complaints? Compliments?
We ran into our share of difficulties, yes. Our movie broke, and there were numerous synching issues. However in spite of that I feel confident in saying this may very well become a permanet fixture in the future. The last minute additions of Samurai Champloo and Gundam Wing to the mix turned out to be just what the line up needed, and the final act was a night of magic none shall soon forget.
Despite that, there are a few issues I would like to address. First off, there have been several suggestions that I move the stream to a later time so that more people can stay through the length of it. As much as I would love to please everyone, the sad fact of it is that I need to be there to make the stream run regardless of what program we're using and a later schedule works better for me. It also loses that air around it that makes it worthwhile. That being said I am toying with the idea of moving the stream to 9:00 PM Eastern Standard Time next Saturday so plan accordingly.
Also, any movies I stream on Saturday will from this point on most likely only run between 120 and 150 minutes. The complete breakdown of "Wizard People, Dear Reader" turned out to be a blessing in disguise as letting the film run its whole length would have set our conclusion somewhere in the ball part of 6 AM. This being the case, I plan to start making a weekly movie night on the stream to make up for it, so stay tuned for more information on that.
