Killzone 3 is coming to the PlayStation 3 in dazzling 3D, an exciting revelation made doubly official by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and a trio of new screens that show off the game's frosty jetpack-filled action. More »
Yes.
I really hope they tighten up the controls a little bit.
And maybe make the ISA look a little more cool in multiplayer so people would actually play as them.
I dare you. At least make it to the "Statistics" section, because something funny happens in the second paragraph.
My. Ears. Are. Bleeding.
If you can actually listen to that the whole way through, your are either god or deaf. Fortunately/Unfortunately, I am neither.
Sony Online Entertainment, in an attempt to capitalize on the madness that stirs men's souls to purchase in-game items with real-life money, recently added three colorful Everquest 2 mounts to the Station Marketplace. For $25, you can purchase one of two versions of the mount: a Fierce Prowler, which improves its rider's combat abilities, or an Arcane Prowler, which boosts spellcasting abilities. You can check out a video of the mounts over on Shacknews.
SOE representatives claim the mounts were added to the storefront due to "player demand," which, if true, means the world has gone entirely bananacakes crazytown. We're going to go buy an economy-sized pallet of water bottles, board up our doors and windows, and go hide in our mattress fort.

2003's Sands of Time holds a special place in Prince of Persia fan's hearts, its cheery tone and beautiful colours a pleasant break from the series' usual browns and greys. Six years later, Ubisoft has gone and messed with this. More »
Ubisoft is an evil corporation that wants to trick you in to buying the same old shit over and over again

Here's a refreshing, if predictable dose of common sense from developers Rockstar, telling the BBC that anyone buying on of their games - like Grand Theft Auto, or Red Dead Redemption - is a "terrible parent". More »
I find this stupid for a multitude of reasons; for one, I played Rockstar games since I was ten, but my parents certainly weren't terrible. Even then, why is it terrible in the first place? Because, "ooh, we need to protect the innocence of the childrenz?" Bullshit. I'd be sure to expose my children to all sorts of "adult shit' if I ever have any children, so they wouldn't grow up to be wussies who are afraid of the "big bad world." You can't propagate "innocence," only "ignorance." And I refuse to propagate ignorance.
SEGA holds back new Sonic release for more development time.
I fully support this game being delayed as much as possible; if it really is supposed to be Sonic's glorious revival, it needs as much time and polish as possible
POWER UP in our gallerySega is bringing a Virtual Console-like experience to PC digital distribution platforms. Sega Genesis Classics is a series of individual Genesis games available for download via Steam and additional, unspecified download services.
On June 1, PC users will be able to download Golden Axe, Ecco the Dolphin, Comix Zone, and Vectorman, "from $2.99." We don't yet know how the prices will vary per game, but even if just one is that cheap, it's quite a savings over the $8 Virtual Console price.
The screenshots sent out by Sega also include images of Gain Ground, Altered Beast, Space Harrier, Crack Down, Sonic 3D Blast, and Shadow Dancer, so we can expect to see those games from the distant past on PC in the near future.
these are all games old enough that they should be, like, 25 cents each, or free

To date, Mass Effect 2's downloadable content has been a little underwhelming, giving players who have completed the game little to do but spin their wheels. That's set to change in the coming months. More »

Micro-marines in condom helmets tromping through a landscape of pubic hair will not be part of your Xbox 360 experience, according to a Microsoft statement on Privates, a title being developed for the PC and Xbox Live Arcade. More »

"Unless you're careful, there's a tendency for games like Mario that can be played by children to gradually become childish," warns Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto. "Those making the game tend to unconsciously make them that way." More »
That's what alot of people, developers and consumers alike, tend to forget; videogames don't have to be aimed at a single target demographic. The truly memorable experiences appeal to all
The expansive (and somewhat irreverent) "Metro Pack" DLC for the multiplayer portion of BioShock 2 will be available for the PC version of the game tomorrow. The pack includes six new maps, three new Achievements and a "Rebirth" feature which lets level 50 players restart their careers, and will be available on the Games for Windows Live Marketplace for 800 ($10). Players can also grab two new multiplayer characters for 160 ($2), and all players can grab the (sigh) golf clubs-only "Kill'Em Kindly" deathmatch mode for free.
Of course, this expansion caused a handful of game-crashing issues for folks who purchased it on 360 and PS3 two weeks ago. Not to worry -- a patch for the game is also set to go live tomorrow, which we hope will preempt these issues.
I kinda dislike it when heavily single-player games (Like Bioshock, for example) that happen to also feature multiplayer modes just get DLC for their multiplayer modes; the campaign deserves some love, as well
If you were looking for a way to make a $150 arcade stick for Super Street Fighter IV seem like a reasonable and sensible expense, here it is: the Super Street Fighter IV HDTV. Roundtable Concepts is introducing a line of LED televisions featuring Super Street Fighter IV logos and imagery on the casing -- as well as a "Street Fighter image" that will "appear on the screen for 8 seconds when you power it on." This is absolutely the TV for people who love Street Fighter to the exclusion of all else, including money and common sense.
The TVs will be available "in the upcoming weeks" in 32", 40", 42", and 46" sizes, for as-yet unannounced prices. The company also produces Marvel-branded TVs, as well as TVs bearing college logos.
I'm still interested in picking up Super Street Fighter IV; I know it's lower in price than the original, but I'm still probably going to wait until I find a coupon or it comes down in price lower
