If you were brave/lucky enough to attend our Indie Arcade at the Eurogamer Expo then you might have noticed the quietly majestic Stellar Impact, which is a rather accomplished-looking PvP starship combat game. It’s really quite the thing: somewhere between MOBA-style play and classic ship-to-ship naval warfare, with you having out-manoeuvre your opponent, bring a broadside to bear, and so on. What’s more is that it has a sort of infinite demo, whereby you can play the game for free, but can’t level up your stuff without the full version. Neat! I’ve posted the trailer and also Total Biscuit’s blathering about it below. Go take a look!

But when a dragon is headed your way, don't you want as much early warning as possible? Let other outlets wait for final screenshots, we'll cover a Notch-tweeted prototype if it keeps you and your cubical loved ones from getting burninated.

So I was looking for some way to play Nintendo DS local multiplayer games online (maybe via an emulator or tunnel software like the old Warp Pipe for GameCube), so I could play Zelda Four Swords online.  Didn't find anything, but I did find this fan-game.  Anyone want to try it out with me?

There has been much speculation about how using a Tablet will impact the amount of time users spend with other media and other activities. New research from GfK MRI's iPanel shows that a majority of Tablet owners who participate in video games report they use a video game console or a handheld video game less often as a result of owning their Tablet.

Moreover, 44% of Tablet owners say they read printed books less often, 42% say they read hard copy newspapers less often and 41% say they use a desktop or laptop computer less often as a result of owning a Tablet.

GfK MRI's online iPanel is composed of more than 3,000 adult eReader and Tablet owners.

Activities that have been far less impacted by the use of Tablets include playing sports, going to the movies and socializing with friends/family.

I think this should have been titled "For home console owners".

 

Either or, I'm not that big of a fan for tablet games. To me, they're just something to pass fifteen minutes of waiting in a line instead of actually intending on using them for longer use.

Problem is all but the Trine key in the Frozen Synapse bundle (if you payed above the average and got the Frozenbyte bundle with it) have expired, unless they've reset them since the start of the Frozen Synapse bundle and I didn't hear about it (I contacted them a couple of days before the latest bundle was announced, and they confirmed the keys are dead). Still, for people who managed to catch the keys (or have the FS bundle) it's a pretty good deal.
