GameStop seems to think so, but Capcom isn’t talking. We just keep hearing ‘Winter’ from them, which doesn’t do us any good. I think a holiday release would definitely benefit the game, so let’s hope that’s what Capcom is aiming for. Link

Battery back-up to save your progress Remember when passwords were the only way to ’save’ your progress? There’s nothing more fun than writing down 26 characters when you want to take a break from playing, and then learning later on that you wrote something wrong. “We have something that we think is different from anything else out there and will give us a competitive advantage. Beyond that, we can’t say much.” - THQ’s Chief Executive Brian Farrell Nintendo loves their peripheral games, as do Activision and EA. A portion of a NintendoStar review… If you have a good collection of games, you’ll find something you can jog along with. Wii jOG definitely delivers, and if you’re looking for more ways to get into shape, £17.99 seems like a reasonable price. + Encourages exercise + Nice design + Affordable - Limited amount of compatible games Full review here

The World Ends With You is all about synergy. You have to work well with your partner, you have to mesh with the rules of the game, and you need to truly get into the story in order to understand and care about what you’re doing. That’s not where synergy for the title [...]

To say that the movie set for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has nothing to do with the games would be absolute rubbish. EA has taken all their location models/shots from what appears in the movie. They wanted to create a synergy between their work and the final movie. For a very in-depth [...]

“Healthcare is 18 percent of the GDP of the United States and so games for health is probably the largest sector of activity in the serious games field long-term. If you add up the 18 month sales of Wii Fit and the sales of EA Sports Active, Konami’s Dance Dance Revolution and other healthy [...]

A portion of a 1up review… Things would take a turn for the worse when Mega Man 4 nudged the series toward “soulless annual franchise” territory, but here the overall sensation is of a team of well-meaning designers doing their best to deliver a fresh take on a masterpiece. Maybe it’s not perfect, but it’s certainly [...]
