Could you imagine Nintendo doing an ad like this today?! It’s even risky for the Big N back in the day. I guess Nintendo decided that an ad like this didn’t really mesh with who they were.

This logo and battle system has recently been trademarked by Namco Bandai, which is most likely in preparation for Tales of Graces. I swear, Tales-related trademarks pop up more often than any other!
