According to RPG Site, a recent V-Jump article on Squeenix and Disney's upcoming PSP collaboration Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep revealed an intriguing facet of the spiky-haired title: It includes a three-player cooperative mode using the handheld's ad hoc capabilities. The co-op mode pits players against the "Mirage Arena," which allows Keyblade-wielders to tackle standalone co-op missions, or set up multiplayer rematches against the core game's toughest bosses. In addition, Mirage Arena visitors will have special protective abilities with which to heal their friends or bolster their defenses. It sounds like a pretty interesting feature -- and should placate PSP owners who've been miffed about 358/2 Days' multiplayer mode. No reason to get upset gang! At least your game's title isn't completely ridiculous. Gallery: Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep

I always love seeing lists put together by fans, because you get some really great entries in lists. Titles you’d otherwise never see. This video is one of those instances! Direct link here (thanks DSgill!)

Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg told GI.biz that he doesn't expect the recent price drops on Xbox 360 and PS3 hardware to change sales trends permanently. "I don't believe the price cuts that both companies have made will impact the market dynamics too dramatically in the long term," he said. "We typically see a month or two of lifts and share adjustments, but then things tend to settle back to roughly the established market ranking. We do, however, expect that these new lower prices will bring in more consumers that were potentially a bit resistant to the previous pricing in place."And, of course, these statements come before the rumored Wii price drop, which may reduce even the temporary lifts experienced by the other consoles. Luckily, we suppose, that period will run right into the holidays, when everything sees dramatic sales increases.

Just as expected, today's Xbox Live Deal of the Week is none other than Pinball FX. MIcrosoft has slashed its price in half, Major Nelson reports, bringing the cost of the game down to 400 ($5). It's not a bad price and, while it ain't no The Addams Family pinball, it's about your best bet for a fix considering the American arcade has all but gone the way of the ManBearPig.

Studies show that American consumers are most receptive to downloadable content at the beginning of the week. It's true! Why do you think Nintendo dumps its releases out on Mondays? It's not rocket science, people. But, we digress. Hop past the break to check out what's new this week for download on Wii and DSi.

If you've been trying to convince your casual-minded significant other that you don't just want, but rather need, a DSi in addition to the DS you own, your moment may have just arrived. PopCap has announced that it'll be bringing its stupefyingly popular puzzle titles Bookworm and Bejeweled Twist to DSiWare this month and the next, respectively. Sure, they'll be out later on retail shelves (December 1, 2009 for Bookworm and Q1 2010 for Bejeweled Twist), but if you're going to score yourself a new DSi, your significant other can never know this. They can never, ever know.

Blur won't be making its scheduled November release, as Activision has officially pulled the arcade racer from the track, pushing it toward a 2010 launch. According to Activision CEO Mike Griffith, the move is being made to "fully optimize the vision [Bizarre] set out to create for Blur." The vision!Activision still has plenty on its plate this holiday season with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and DJ Hero. Then again, with the early part of 2010 as packed as it is with pushed releases, who knows what delays are still lurking.

Spike got a five-minute look at the upcoming anime Halo Legends, and (as you'll see for yourself right after the break) it's got all our favorite tropes of the genre: comically exaggerated animations, vaguely effeminate dudes and very weird-looking soups. Of course, it's also got something else that's going to have your eyes glued to all 298 seconds: Master Chief being a total badass and kicking the living crap out of a Brute. Enjoy. [Via Siliconera]

IWBTG? Hard? Hahaha, only on your first playthrough. It gets easier really fast. The hardest game I've played is World of Goo. I don't know why it's so hard for me.

The new motion controllers for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 are likely to make big appearances at this year's Tokyo Game Show. While both Microsoft and Sony are attempting to take away some of Nintendo's mindshare with its new controllers, Square Enix head Yoichi Wada believes neither company will be truly successful. "Present game machines already have a lot of functions: they are a network terminal, a Blu-ray or DVD player, and a gaming machine. Compared to these three pillars, the [new motion] controllers are quite limited, so the impact may be small," Wada told the Financial Times.Wada also believes that the three platforms will start looking more like each other by the year 2011, when he believes Nintendo will release the fabled successor of the Wii. The system will add features found on the PS3/360, and may also introduce a brand new controller. It'll certainly be interesting to see what moves consumers when an HD Nintendo system exists concurrently with motion-enabled Microsoft and Sony systems.

The Metal Gear Solid franchise transformed quite a bit in its last iteration, Guns of the Patriots for PS3. While many would argue that the third-person shooter controls implemented in MGS4 are superior than the standard controls of earlier Metal Gear games, Kojima Productions is giving players a choice. The upcoming Peace Walker will feature both "action type" controls from Portable Ops and "shooter type" controls inspired by MGS4.We're glad to hear that a new control scheme is being implemented in this second canonical MGS PSP game. The first game had terrific production values, but the controls certainly hampered our enjoyment. We can't wait to try the new Kojima-preferred controls when we get our hands on the downloadable demo at TGS this week.[Via Andriasang]

If fanboys complain loudly enough, can they get a game localized for an English release? The answer appears to be: yes, at least according to an unnamed 1UP source "close to the project," who says that "Yakuza 3 is currently being localized for release in the U.S. and European markets."If true, it'll be interesting to see if people will actually buy the game. The late-to-the-party PS2 release of Yakuza 2 was largely ignored. Could Yakuza 3 meet the same fate, now that Yakuza 4 is already on its way to Japan?[Thanks, Marius!]

difficulty. There's also solos you do and you activate Beatlemania[like star power in GH]and get more points! Are your friends failing to hit the notes?Well if they fail and your Beatlemania meter is full you can save them[tilt the guitar upwards] The game is pretty good. Sound:9.4/10 The sound is excellent. They have all the original recordings and the is pretty good. Story:9/10 It's history of the Beatles man! You just play the songs and you can earn prizes! Replay Value: 7/10 There's only 45 songs[right now that is...]and the story be beaten a few hours. However with all the prizes and accomplishments, you can't put it down! Rent or Buy? Buy if you're a fan.Rent if you aren't one. However the cost the instruments and the can cost you a lot!But if bought before and Two guitars, you'll only have to 60 bucks for the game. P.S.-there will be downloadable content coming up before this year. Reviewer: LucasX3
