I’m telling you, with each bit of LovePlus news that we post, I become more and more scared of the people that are playing this game. First they take their virtual girlfriends out on real-life dates, and now we see what looks to be the collection of just one LovePlus player. I love [...]

Robot Ninja Haggleman fanart by Mike Westfall Our friends at TinyCartridge are going out of their way to find and share all Retro Game Challenge fan-art that exists, and I stand side-by-side with them on their mission! This is a game that a much larger amount of DS owners should be playing, and hopefully one [...]

To take advantage of its limited-time reduced price, Zen Studios has released new DLC for Pinball FX. The "Earth Defense Table" (not pictured) runs gamers 240 ($3 US) and throws pinball fans in the middle of an alien invasion. Thankfully, these aliens have poor navigation skills and did not realize attacking Earth from within a virtual steel box would be considered a poor strategic decision.Shortcut: Add the Earth Defense Table (240) to your Xbox Queue[Via Aeropause]

First of all, it's a holiday in Japan this week, so there are no new games for September 22. However, since we failed to update you guys on the releases for September 15, we figured we should probably do that. Sorry for the delay!Despite the lack of releases this week, we think most Japanese gamers are happy because they totally get to play some Ganbare Goemon. Known in The States as Legend of the Mystical Ninja, the series has had a long affair with Japanese gamers -- which now continues on the Virtual Console! Ganbare Goemon 3 (Super Famicom, 1 -2 players, 800 Wii Points) Dragon Saber (VC Arcade, 1 - 2 players, 800 Wii Points) Dragon Buster (VC Arcade, 1 - 2 players, 800 Wii Points)

That’s great, a Wii peripheral that’s not even out has made MSN’s list of worst peripherals. I have to admit, the art included with the patent didn’t really set my heart afire! Full list here (thanks GWX!)

We hope at this point we don't have to sell you on the validity of Ars Technica's mole. Whoever the guy/girl is, their track record is fantastic, after correctly predicting everything from the Resident Evil 5 360 bundle to the price cuts the 360 and PS3 just enjoyed. Now, the mole says that Microsoft will be sweetening the deal this holiday season, packing Pure and Lego Batman in with the 360 Elite. The mole went on to claim that the 802.11n adapter Microsoft has confirmed will debut for $100, while the 802.11g will drop to $79.99. ... Yikes, $20 off a device that should cost $20 in the first place? If true, it's pretty darn cold.

Anyone have any idea what this tiny corner building is? It’s an important part of history, but you’ll have to hit the jump to get more details. This is the building where Nintendo started, way back when. I think they’ve expanded just a bit since their early days!

Yes but 1933 was when Nintendo had it's first real "factory", the building above.

Among the truckloads of possibly legit megatons included in the alleged leaked minutes from a meeting between Sega of America and Sony Computer Entertainment America, a number of notable gaffes and oddities can be found. Besides wondering if "characters from [the] Rare or Fable universes" should be included in Sonic Racing, it appears that Sega may be interested in assigning all of its properties a PlayStation Home-room. Oh, and a product evaluator thought Alpha Protocol felt "barely RPG" -- final analysis: make it even more Mass Effect-y.Additionally, the mention of PS2 games as downloadable content on PSN makes us reminisce all the way back to mid-2006 when the idea first popped up on our radar --- surely, this isn't why Sony removed built-in backwards compatibility? And either the person taking minutes was daydreaming or knows something we don't, as reference is made to "Eidos' Batman" featuring "PS3/PSP interoperability" support -- a Batman or related DC Comics PSP game then? Juicer still, that little mention comes right after talk of a project named "Vanguard" and a possible PSP iteration of the currently shelved Aliens: Colonial Marines that Gearbox Software is working on. Also, Sony is eager to check out that hopefully not-so-crappy Thor game soon (suggestion: make it less Iron Man 2-y).The cherry on top comes in the form of what we've been calling around the Joystiq water cooler: "Sonic and the Inverted Castle." Found under the "Sonic Anniversary" subhead, the note taker jots down, "SCEA would love PSN exclusive power ups/different game modes (like Castlevania's flip it over/backwards)." Actually, we believe that's Missy Elliott who puts the thing down, flips it and reverses it, thank you very much.

The time is almost upon us to saunter back into ancient ruins and murder hundreds upon hundreds of mercenaries in Naughty Dog's upcoming quarter-tucked adventure, Uncharted 2. Stateside Nathan Drake enthusiasts have known the date their bread would be buttered on for quite some time (October 13) -- now, Sony's confirmed to Eurogamer that the title will be hitting European store shelves just three days later. (Whoa, don't hurt yourself. That's October 16.) If you're on the fence about your Uncharted 2 purchase, you'll be able to check out the game -- along with MAG, Heavy Rain and God of War III -- at the Eurogamer Expo, which runs October 27-28 in Leeds and October 30-31 in London. Tickets to the event are only £6, which we're fairly certain translates to about $0.16 in real currency. What a steal!

The Beatles: Rock Band is an absolutely gorgeous game, no matter what platform you pick it up for. Especially beautiful are the cut-scenes that were put together. They aren’t high-quality CG scenes like we’re used to…they’re hand-drawn and painted works of art. This stuff is some of the nicest art a game [...]
