Pre-ordering is for the weak -- those who truly want Sgt. Johnson will pay the price he's worth for his survive-anything awesomeness, which is currently 99999 on the Xbox Marketplace, a measly $1,250 converted to Earth dollars. That pre-order price is lookin' pretty good now, huh? Carpe diem, capitalists! Those with the code can put that on eBay for ... $10?! Hey, Microsoft, are you trying to rip off someone who's got too many points burning a whole in their virtual wallet? Carpe diem, capitalists, indeed! [Thanks, Jesse]

I don’t know if you guys consider this a spoiler, as some of you already know about the character. Still, just to be safe, I’ll put the information and artwork after the jump. This bento creation was actually made by the sister of Christine Nakashima, who happens to work at XSEED. Turns out that Christine was putting in long hours at work, and her sister wanted to give her something special for all that hard work!

We hope at this point we don't have to sell you on the validity of Ars Technica's mole. Whoever the guy/girl is, their track record is fantastic, after correctly predicting everything from the Resident Evil 5 360 bundle to the price cuts the 360 and PS3 just enjoyed. Now, the mole says that Microsoft will be sweetening the deal this holiday season, packing Pure and Lego Batman in with the Xbox 360 Elite. The mole went on to claim that the 802.11n adapter Microsoft has confirmed will debut for $100, while the 802.11g will drop to $79.99. ... Yikes, $20 off a device that should cost $20 in the first place? If true, it's pretty darn cold.

That’s what the listing over at PLAY.com says, and I suspect that many people will be pretty upset with this. That’s a huge delay, especially for a game that’s been out for so long in the states. Hopefully this release date fiasco will be addressed soon. Thanks to JamPony for the heads [...]

The Xbox Live charts have been fairly stable for a couple of weeks. Halo 3 managed to snag the top spot from World at War two weeks ago, and the top six have remained unchanged since then. For the week ending September 14, the top slots are Halo 3, Call of Duty: World at War, Call of Duty 4, Gears of War 2, Madden NFL 10 and GTAIV from first to sixth place, respectively. Meanwhile, the bottom four merely shuffle places this week, with the FIFA 10 demo stealing seventh place from FIFA 09, knocking it to eighth. Finally, Left 4 Dead shambles into ninth, leaving the Caped Crusader's jaunt through Arkham in tenth. It's all business as usual now, but we get the feeling that something is getting ready to drop into the top 10.
