"Going with an imaginary creature makes it feel much more real," ICO and Shadow of the Colossus creator Fumito Ueda explained in a new video revealed at Tokyo Game Show. "None of the elements we're mixing together actually exist, but they feel like they do."Ueda's previous games were praised for being able to push players to emotions rarely expressed in most games. After watching this trailer from Tokyo Game Show, it seems certain that Ueda might be able to pull off a hat trick with The Last Guardian.

Announced just now at the second -- that's right, the second -- Sony press conference at Tokyo Game Show, Gran Turismo 5 will be coming to Japan in March 2010. Series creator Kazunori Yamauchi announced the launch window without specifying any other regions. We'll pester Sony and Polyphony Digital all this week for more info. Promise.

The 250GB PS3 is real! Sony is taking advantage of its exclusivity of Final Fantasy XIII in Japan by introducing a new bundle. For 41600 yen, Japanese gamers will get a special limited edition system with Lightning (the main character, not the weather condition) printed on the body. It'll be available for purchase on 12/17 (so importers, get ready!).We'll upload images as soon as we get them. In the meantime, you can download Final Fantasy VIII from the Japanese PlayStation Store for 1500 yen.

If you weren't able to make the trip to Japan for the Tokyo Game Show this year, don't fret -- not only do we have you covered on the hot news scoop front, but IGN managed to snag a downloadable copy of the co-op enabled, TGS-exclusive (well, formerly TGS-exclusive, we guess) Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker demo for the PSP. Just make sure you've got the latest firmware, download the file from the acronymed gaming news site, unzip it and place it in your PSP's "Game" folder, and enjoy. If, while enjoying, you also happen to kick ass, you might even get a high enough ranking to unlock a special wallpaper for your Sony handheld. Finally, we have incentive to do something other than make cardboard box fortresses.

Everyone's favorite wartime photojournalist and Dead Rising protagonist Frank West was just confirmed to be a contender in Capcom's upcoming inter-franchise brawler, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. This news comes two weeks after a number of the game's assets, which indicated the appearance of West, Mega Man series regular Zero, and a bunch of anime characters we absolutely do not recognize, were leaked. You can check out a video demo of West's brawling expertise after the jump. Know where he learned to fight that well? Probably from his recent encounter with the unyielding zombocalypse.
