'Scene It? Twilight' dazzles Wii this autumn, DS in 2010

Oh my gawd, oh my gawd, the twinkly blood-suckers of Twilight are coming to Wii in a Scene It? game this fall! Yes, the vampire franchise -- with only one released movie under its coffin -- will be the subject of an entire multimedia-based trivia game for Wii, featuring some 500 multiple-choice questions based on clips, music and audio from the film. There are no details about the DS version of the game, which will release sometime next year. (There's also no mention of an Xbox 360 or PS3 version.) We'd call this the "shovelware cash-in of trivia games," but we'd be afraid that in doing so, pale, starving actors covered in glitter would come and suck our blood -- accompanied by throngs of enraged tweens and housewives that would rip our lifeless bodies to shreds. So ... we'll just call it not the game for us.

Probably the most impossible music to come out of a computer game, this 1-bit (yes, the Spectrum had only a simple 1-channel 10-octave "bleeper" to generate sound) intro theme literally set the target for Speccy sound designers to aim for. Shame the game itself is a bit vanilla.

Also, this was a budget title at £1.99, so crapness can be half-forgiven.

XBLA games won't get bigger than 2GB

Those that downloaded Red Alert 3: Commander's Challenge may have noticed that the game is huge for an Xbox Live Arcade title, weighing in at 2.1GB. Over the years, XBLA games have gotten bigger and bigger, with Microsoft slowly making exceptions to the size limitation rule so that important releases could ... well, release. Now that size limit is, for all intents and purposes, gone. At the same time, XBLA games can't get any bigger than two gigabytes. Confused? Scott Austin, Microsoft's director of digital games, told IGN that the XBLA system actually can't accept anything larger than 2GB. Some may be tempted to cry foul, as Microsoft already offers significantly larger downloads with its Games on Demand service. However, according to Austin, Games on Demand uses a different file structure. We'd be remiss if we didn't point out that Commander's Challenge is slightly above two gigabytes (while it's listed as 2GB on Xbox.com, it shows up as 2.1GB on the 360 HDD). We've sent this little puzzle to Microsoft, in hopes that we might get some more concrete details. We'll update this post when such details arrive.

The size limit was broken with Penny Arcade. I think. Stupid Joystig (Maybe).

Not that I thought it ever would. I'm keeping my old PSP for haxing anyway. What use do I have for the Playstation store on an old PSP when the shiny new one gets everything off there anyway. Also apparently there is a plan for European buyers, and hopefully US, to give you three free games if you register for it with an old PSP online and then "upgrade" to the new one. And of course by upgrade, they mean don't upgrade and get three free games anyway. Well, that's what I mean.

Original PSP to get 15% price cut ... in Japan

Sony may have been busy talking up the PSP Go (and its ridiculous accessories) during TGS, but it looks like the company hasn't forgotten the Go's older brother. Beginning October 1, the original PSP will receive a fifteen percent price drop in Japan, lowering the price to ¥16,800 (~$185). While it might seem a little strange for Sony to lower the price of the PSP just prior to the launch of the already overpriced PSP Go, Bloomberg rightly points out that the cut will place the PSP at a lower price than Nintendo's monstrously successful DSi. For now, the price cut remains exclusive to Japan. Joystiq has contacted Sony to find out whether it plans to share the love with the rest of the world. [Via Engadget]

This is now important. 403 Forbiddena kind of went out of style, but for some reason it their two songs Northern Lights and Southern Cross were really *crag*ing big on the net for awhile. Specifically on Newgrounds, you can find a shit load of flash that use these songs, most of which came from parodying the flash Nightmare City and the, I would contend, much more popular 4chan City which made the rounds on both Youtube and 4chan itself. In fact I believe it was shown at ROFLcon. Their music still definitely has some substance to it, and it is pretty easy to find. I believe this album in particular was up for free on their site, Japanese of course, for awhile but I'm not sure if it is anymore. It isn't the greatest shit ever, but then again I don't want to go with another indie band everyone has probably heard of two times in a row. So deal.

I know that misusing HTML can crash the site, so we could have some limitations on what kind of coding we could use (for example, we could only be allowed to use background, text color, text size and font, typewriter text... the basic stuff only.)
Francis

Well, you can use bold, italics, underline, and  strikethrough. I hate bbcode, i would like to avoid it if at all possible. I could maybe add a few more tags.
