As you've probably guessed, the dearth of footage of actual Project Natal gameplay can be attributed to Microsoft's ban on filming the screen during demos of the technology. Hence, the gameplay-less video above, captured by Engadget during a Natal preview of Beautiful Katamari and Space Invaders Extreme. Watch as Project Natal creative director Kudo Tsunoda shows how one rolls giant sticky balls or pushes back extraterrestrial attackers using only one's limbs. Without seeing the screen, we can't be certain how well he's performing these activities, but we can certainly attest to his remarkable dancing prowess.

Q-Games' adorable tower defense title PixelJunk Monsters is getting a wee bit smaller this week with the release of its somewhat ironically named, PSP-sized adaptation, PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe. Though technically tinier in stature, the game offers all the strategic defending of the PS3 version of the title, while adding a new island, new monsters and even a few new towers into the mix. The game also gets a few multiplayer options, including a local four-player cooperative mode and an eight-player online competitive mode. We've yet to confirm a price for the title, which will presumably appear in this week's PSN Thursday update, but we've contacted Q-Games to try to find out ahead of time.

Tim Schaffer actually sent LucasArts a cover letter in the style of an adventure game to LucasArts, all in the hope of securing a job. Believe it or not, the letter lead to an in-person visit, and then he landed his job. Without that cover letter, we might have never gotten Tales of [...]

Click for even bigger PSP, larger hand Announced just over four months ago, the PSP Go will hit store shelves worldwide this Thursday, October 1. By its very nature as a flash memory-based device -- and its incompatibility with already-owned UMD titles -- Sony's latest incarnation of the PlayStation Portable is leaping out of the gate with a considerable handicap. Early adopters, the devoted Sony and PSP fans, are going to find themselves wowed by the hardware, but a little unsure of what to do next. The Go is a wonderful gadget -- it's beautiful to look at, feels great to hold in your hands and certainly has the air of a high-end, tech lust-worthy device. There's just that aforementioned inability to play your existing games and a only-$50-less-than-a-PS3 price tag serving as Exhibit A; and B is the little angel on your shoulder who's saying you don't need to spend $250 on another PSP.
