Seeing both Mario and Sonic together still gives me goosebumps. It’s just not something I ever dreamed would happen, and even though the two have been pairing up for awhile now, it’s still a shock to my system. I’m still waiting for that one day where the two characters come together in a [...]

I don’t know how Gardening Mama would feel about this creation. There’s definitely some meat in that dish, and Gardening Mama is more of a fruit and veggies kind of gal!

Police officers often employ the aid of criminal informants, a kind of double agent that works behind enemy lines to get all of the dirt on the lowlifes breaking the rules. That's the new strategy for Nintendo and the 54 other companies that have again jointly filed suit in a Tokyo District Court to thwart the sale of devices used by pirates, such as the R4. Despite winning the initial filing, Japanese retailers still sell the R4 and other flash carts, so Nintendo and (presumably) the same 54 companies have again filed suit. This latest filing aims for damages from those reselling the devices. See, Nintendo and the participating companies sent a letter to these resellers back in February requesting that they cease selling the device, but these resellers failed to comply. Back to the snitching: Nintendo has opened a consumer website to report offenders and retailers hocking the devices. There, folks can fill out a web form with the appropriate information and submit it direct to Nintendo for follow-up. In exchange from Big N, you ask? You don't really expect freebies for doing the right thing, do you? Also, there's nothing. [Via Andriasang]

We've got bad news for boycotters out there, you're going to be seeing a lot of Left 4 Dead 2 in the coming months. Developer Valve is preparing a massive advertising push for the game, planning to spend $25 million on the campaign, a significant increase over the $10 million spent on the original Left 4 Dead. According to Valve boss man Gabe Newell, the sequel has "consistently run at 300% of Left 4 Dead's numbers," with Doug Lombardi noting that the game is already the most pre-ordered title in the company's history. US zombie killers can expect to see ads during Monday Night Football and UFC bouts and also plastered on billboards, magazines and websites. European undead slayers will also bear witness to televised ads "during sports and lifestyle programming," some online marketing and traditional print and outdoor ads too. Joystiq & Sons Advertising would like to offer the following marketing proposal to Valve: Door-to-door Zombie-grams. It's a lot like a candy-gram, except the delivery zombie eats the customer's brains.

A portion of an EDGE review… …it’s hard not to be disappointed that one of gaming’s true visions – of life’s multiplicity and constantly changing nature – should end up broadening itself by slumping into a worn groove of genre pieces and business dogma.

Is your brain plagued by the infinitely catchy songs in LittleBigPlanet? Do you frequently annoy your friends with your incessant humming of The Go! Team's unofficial LBP theme song? Oh, did we just re-stick in your head? Sorry, we should've thought that out before we laid it on you like that. Maybe all you need to do is add a bit of variation to your LBP soundtrack -- an option which will be made available this Thursday with the release of the "Mm Music Pack 1." The DLC pack will add three original, interactive tracks to the game: "Wise Owl," an ambient electronica song, "Well Trained," a blues-inspired ditty, and "Tea By the Sea," which is undefinable, yet funky. Get a preview of these three tracks in the video after the jump, then decide if they're worth the $2.99 price tag. [Thanks, Chris!]

Major Nelson has announced that the two games gracing Xbox Live Arcade this week will be Lucidity and South Park LET'S GO TOWER DEFENSE PLAY. The first is a puzzle platformer from LucasArts with a positively delightful art style, while the second ... well it's pretty self explanatory. It's a tower defense game set against the backdrop of the famous, quiet little mountain town. Both can be yours in exchange for 800 ($10).
