Another piece of absolutely fantastic piece of art for the Shiren series. I really wish North American embraced the franchise. Let’s hope things go well for the Wii entry.

Another thing I did was I spawned Cupid, a boulder, and Satan. I droped the boulder on Cupid until he let go of the bow, shot Satan, then spawned a woman next to him. The game crashed because Satan was nice.

I found that entering various different names for atoms (Gluon, Argon, etc.) generated the exact same atomic particle.

This is obviously a screen from one of the retro-themed challenge levels in the game. I can’t wait for this game to release! Thanks to Greenyz for the heads up!

Though Microsoft has been a bit cagey with a solid release date for the upcoming Facebok/Twitter/Last.Fm update for Xbox Live, eagle-eyed UK readers have spotted the phrase "Service launches 17th November 2009" on the UK Xbox website (seen above). When we recently got to give the services a spin at Microsoft's First Annual Open House, the company wouldn't give us a set-in-stone release date, though MTV Multiplayer were told a public beta for the services would arrive for XBL Gold Members in the "middle-towards-end of October." We've contacted Microsoft for word on when the services will be arriving on this side of the pond, though ... well ... it's the weekend. We'd suggest you don't go holding your breath for that info until Monday.[Thanks, Scump!]

That's just plain weird.

They should have just re-branded "Wacky Wheels". http://www.3drealms.com/wacky/index.html I loved that game.

As a rule I don't get movie-based games. They generally are just horrible.

Two big games hit the DS very close to one another. Nintendo’s juggernaut ‘Mario and Luigi’ series continued with its Bowser’s Inside Story entry, and 5th Cell finally released the much-hyped Scribblenauts. I’m sure there are many of you that are still splitting your time between these two titles, but which one ends [...]

Bowser wins.

I got to try out Bowser's Inside Story (getting it on Friday) and I've owned Scribblenauts since day one. Bowser's Inside Story was hilarious and fun while Scribblenauts was just fun. The former had a lot of funny moments while the later was better as a Sandbox. :\

You know what you really need? Like, really, really need, and you don't even know it? One of our kidneys. That's what we're putting on the table on the off chance that you're the winner of Naughty Dog's latest contest -- the prize for which is one of the limited, sexy, leather-bound, dagger-infested copies of Uncharted 2 Fortune Hunter Edition. All you have to do to be eligible is play in the Uncharted 2 Multiplayer Beta this weekend, and you'll automatically be entered. They're handing out 10 copies of the special edition every day until the game's released, meaning our chances of receiving one are slim. Hence, we offer one of our kidneys as an exchange to any potential winner under the sound of our voice. They're fresh, they regulate the balance of our electrolytes superbly, and, best of all, they're ours! Don't you want to put a bit of Joystiq inside you?

Yoshi’s Story Is it wrong for me to like Yoshi’s Story? I know it can be very short…and I know it’s quite strange compared to the rest of the series…but I love it for its quirks. I know it’s not the best game in the series (by far), but I do like it for [...]

Pinball Hall of Fame: The Gottlieb Collection was released on the Cube a long time back, and then the title got a Wii-revision that hit Europe some time ago. That re-release never came over to the states, but Amazon says that Crave is still bringing the title our way, even if it’s not going [...]

As details slowly drip out of Xbox World 360's recent hands-on with upcoming water-based puzzler Hydrophobia, the game's developer, Dark Energy Digital, is putting Internet-less Xbox 360 owners' fears to rest. In addition to releasing the game as three chapters on Xbox Live Marketplace, Hydrophobia will be getting a disc release at the end of next year. Also of note, despite the game's grandiose scale, it weighs in at under 250MB -- well under the allowed 2GB file size for XBLA releases that Microsoft recently increased. We've reached out to Dark Energy Digital to nail down some of the more slippery details on Hydrophobia and will update you as soon as we hear more.

Speaking to 1UP, Runic Games' Max Schaefer intimated that he'd like to see the company's upcoming RPG Torchlight make an appearance on Xbox Live Arcade. Unfortunately, Schaefer admitted that Runic is a small developer and is focused on bringing out the Torchlight MMO next, so an XBLA version may not be in the cards. He noted his belief that an XBLA version "would really do great," however. Given the enjoyable time we spent with the PC version at PAX, we're inclined to agree. A dungeon crawler in the same vein as Diablo, Torchlight would be a perfect fit for consoles, especially with the addition of multiplayer. Here's hoping Runic finds a way to make it happen.

A recent Visceral Games press release revealed the talent behind the script of Dante's Inferno: Will Rokos, who was nominated for an Academy Award for his work on the screenplay for Monster's Ball. We missed out on that one when it was in theaters, but a quick Wikipedia search taught us that it's a troubling tale of ingrained racial conflict, shattered families, coping with lost loved ones and brief, uncompromising shots of Billy Bob Thornton's testicles. So, yeah. Lots of overlap between that and an action-oriented video game based on a 14th century epic poem.
