Activision has sent out the intro cinematic for DJ Hero, and we can't help but think of Brütal Legend set in a hip-hop / club universe. A world filled with monstrous record needles and gigantic subwoofers. A place where DJs -- and truck drivers, apparently -- are kings, battling it out for rhythmic supremacy. We're not sure if the actual gameplay experience of twirling plastic records and tapping buttons will evoke the same feelings -- the signs are good so far -- but the intro video certainly has us pumped. You'd best check it yourself, lest you wreck yourself.

Now you can post to any user's board. This is considered a "direct message". There is a checkbox to make it private, which makes it a "private message". Only the sender and receiver will be able to see the private message. Anyone can see public direct messages. There is a new link at the top of the page for you to easily see all messages sent to you.

Also, you can now set the privacy for an entire message board. Click on Manage link at the top of one of your boards to see the settings:

Public: Anyone can see and post to this board.
Protected: Anyone can see & comment, but only you can post.
Private: Only approved subscribers can see & post.

Also, if the user's board is not "public" then you can only post a private message.

: Currently there is no easy way to view a single subscribed board - clicking the list buttons shows all the subscribed posts in that category and the scubscribed boards in the sidebar got replaced by active boards.
