A portion of a Nintendo Life review… The long and short of it is that anybody looking for a fun multiplayer experience already has dozens of stronger examples to choose from, and anybody who isn’t would be wise not to make an exception for Gravitronix. We cannot recommend this shabby excuse for a game to you [...]

In a PlayStation.com Forums thread about the existing Uncharted 2 chat system, a Naughty Dog staffer with the handle "ReklissAbandon" reportedly said that "the next PS3 firmware update is going to allow cross game chat."Currently, that alleged confirmation is "deleted" (presumably by ReklissAbandon), but the text reappears as a quote a couple of posts down the thread. We've got the full quote after the break in case all record of the statement should meet with an unfortunate accident, and we've also reached out to Sony for comment. In the meantime, please temper your excitement over hearing your friends' voices with a bit of healthy skepticism. [Thanks to everyone who sent this in!]

It seems that Super Robot Taisen OG Exceed isn’t the sequel that many were hoping for. There are plenty of other SRT titles that fans would like to see sequels to, but there’s no denying that the big-boobed title in Japan sold well enough to warrant another massive mammaries sequel. Whether the first [...]

Microsoft has announced that the UK's Xbox 360 Sky Player -- revealed earlier this year -- will finally be released starting October 27. The application will allow users to stream both live television and on demand programming, including sports, movies and popular shows. Gamers will also be able to watch programs together with Xbox Live friends using Party Mode, which acts similarly to the Netflix Party Mode available in the US. The programming line-up and pricing will be announced alongside the release on the 27th. [Thanks, Dan C]

What a delightful image, don’t you think? That’s something that the ‘Action Alliance’ is using to promote their upcoming event, in which they are hoping to get German gamers to throw away their ‘killer’ games. I love being compared to a Nazi, don’t you?

With concept art and a logo that look like they were ripped straight out of a Mirror's Edge anime fansite, it's not surprising that Konami's first DSiWare title Reflection is all about the gameplay and not the graphics. The game features an extremely innovative use of the DSi's second screen as a literal reflection (get it?) of the game, turning an otherwise pedestrian platformer into a challenging puzzler. You play as Kirra, a thief for hire who has been tasked with retrieving an ancient mirror from some similarly ancient ruins. When she finds the mirror, it does what all ancient mirrors do: it breaks. And in doing so, the mirror shatters her reality as well. She now has to reassemble the mirror if there is any hope of restoring her world, and she does this by traveling through both her world and the mirror world, reflected in the DSi's bottom screen.

Xbox360Achievements.org has uncovered the Digital Accomplitrons for Call of Duty Classic, set to to be bundled with special editions of Modern Warfare 2 and to be release on XBLA "eventually." Much like the most recent iterations of the Call of Duty franchise, Classic doesn't have a single multiplayer Achievement, which should hopefully keep everyone focused on actually playing the game. The Achievements that are there offer points for completing campaign levels, completing the game itself, and accomplishing a few more challenging objectives. We're particularly fond of "Pea Shooter," which tasks players with completing a mission using only the pistol and no melee attacks. That's hardcore, son.

According to Bright Side of News' secret sauces sources, Nvidia is in talks with Nintendo about the hardware for the successor to the Nintendo DS. Nintendo is reportedly interested in Nvidia's Tegra line of chips for mobile devices, like the one in the Zune HD. Considering that the Zune HD can do things like play HD video, it sounds like a power boost over the existing DS hardware. The lower-end Tegra APX has a clock speed of 600 MHz, compared to the current DS cores, which run at 67MHz and 33MHz. However, BSN believes that the potential timing of the announcement (late next year) suggests that Nintendo could use the next generation of Tegra chips, which, the site says, use "GeForce 9 based hardware." And if they're cheap enough, Nintendo might consider it! The only question (well, the only other question, besides "is any of this true") is whether the capability to play ported console games is really a good thing for the DS. [Via Develop]

An advanced DS in a few years would have the DS match the GameBoy timeline:
GameBoy/DS -> GBPocket/DSLite -> GBColor/DSi -> GBA/DSA
darkz
And the thing is, They're both the same thing.
The DSlite was smaller and slimmer, the DSi has it's own (upcoming)software and can still play the original games as well as enhance them.
