The novel, written by Greg Keyes, will make its way to store shelves November 24 ... the audio book will only have six voice actors (OK, we made that last part up). A whole bunch of wizards would be required for something like that.Alexander S.: They have a wizard on the "Hamster Wheel of Water Generation."JC F.: How could you even keep the city's inferno going with all that water?Justin M.: It's a water inferno.

Johnny Maximum - World Heroes Johnny Maximum is a murderous football player. I think I’ll just avoid the obvious joke on that one, as it’s a bit tasteless.

Remember, the WiiWare version of the Earthworm Jim remake is going to be almost exactly like the iPhone/iPod Touch version, so this trailer should give us a very good idea of what to expect.

Super Mario Smash Bros. painted DSi by JFish That’s a pretty snazzy paint job! I just wish the artist found a way to turn the DSi camera lens into a busted-out eyeball or something!

That purchase is definitely worth it for under $10. That’s some of the best boxart I’ve ever seen! If there were a fishing game in the states that featured a fish with sunglasses, I’d be all over it!

I think it’s pretty simple to explain what’s going on here. When it comes to advertising and game developers, it appears that most of the people in charge don’t believe that girl gamers are aged any higher than pre-teen. That’s where their advertising to the female market ends. When was the last [...]

Rumors of new consoles swirl, Microsoft and Nintendo not commenting.

Ten-hut, soldier -- Codemasters' Sion Lenton reveals in an interview with Telegraph that the company is currently working on DLC for Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising and the first round will be available in "a matter of weeks." Lenton also says the company has "ambitious plans" for the game's DLC, though he only mentions the requisite weapon and map add-ons most shooters receive post-release.The rest of the interview isn't a bad read; Lenton discusses how the idea to bring back the Operation Flashpoint series came about, why Codies went for consoles, the balancing act between keeping it a hardcore, realistic experience without making it too frustrating for gamers and planned Title Updates to keep the game balanced. We're glad he mentioned that last item, because we've heard some folks in the game's forums aren't all too happy with the experience right now.[Via CVG]

A portion of a 1UP review: Unlike the universe-spanning PC simulation it’s spun off from, Spore Hero is a disappointingly generic third-person platformer with some very light “Metroidvania” influences. You start the game with a barely evolved creature that crash lands on an unfamiliar planet, and you then explore the different locations, help out the inhabitants [...]
