Direct link here As we’ve stated in the past, I’m sure that element of gameplay alone is the reason why Captain Rainbow never saw a localization. Oh well, at least we got to enjoy the wackiness through video footage.

I’ve been meaning to post this one for awhile now, and just seeing it on TV gave me a reminder to get it up on the site. I actually think it’s a really well made spot. What do you guys think?

We can't say that we were exactly taken aback to find out a couple of online retailers are listing the upcoming Modern Warfare 2-paired 250GB Xbox 360 launch as November 10, the same day the game arrives at retailers nationwide. An eagle-eyed reader at Joystiq sister site Engadget spotted the bundle at both Amazon and Costco (GameStop also has the Nov. 10 ship date listed), where the details re-confirm the bundle's lack of a component cable (for shame!). We've contacted Activision to make sure we're not being led astray, but it'd be hard to expect those willing to shell out the 399 clams for the bundle to have to wait to get their fool-shootin' on.Source 1 - AmazonSource 2 - CostcoSource 3 - GameStop

Remember, Big Red Button is a new development team that is made up of former Naughty Dog employees. I’m definitely going to keep an eye on what they’re doing, and hope that it ends up being related to Nintendo in some way.

There’s still nothing quite like the Lickers from Resident Evil. I remember the cut-scene that introduced these bad-boys, and I found them to be freaky as hell. Monsters are scary enough, but why in the world do we have to be licked/eaten to death!?

Another bit of fan-love for Retro Game Challenge. If only the rest of the gaming world took the time to explore the wonders of Retro Game Challenge, we might actually have a shot at playing the sequel.

Remember back when we complained about the ‘Change 4 Life’ campaign, a series of commercials that unfairly called out video games as a cause of obesity? Looks like Nintendo UK has worked hard to make sure people know that Wii Fit Plus is actually in support of the campaign. Commercial here When people see this commercial, [...]

Something tells me that Nintendo didn’t sign off on this. On top of that, I pictured Mario Land being a lot more fun than this!

Direct link here You’ll notice the paddle follows the twisting action with little delay and allows the player a great degree of control. You’ll also note that very little motion is involved. The only circumstance in which you will experience a delay is if you overtwist the controller. The paddle will not start moving again until you [...]

We were certain -- absolutely certain -- that the epidemic of fractured television screens which cropped up with the release of the Wii had passed. Everyone's heard the horror stories, seen the blackened eyes and witnessed the ruined electronics, we thought. Everyone now knows the methods of avoiding Wiimote accidents during their exuberant Wii Sports bouts, we thought. The Home Shopping Network recently proved the inaccuracy of this observation. The hilarity unfolds in the video after the jump. While some might grimace at the fate of the poor television featured in the video, remember that they're charging $330 for a Wii and 15 completely unnecessary controller attachments. Call it an accident, if you'd like -- we call it Karma in action.

Ahh, the world of social networking services, where everyone from Joystiq to Charles Martinet (the voice of Mario and many other Nintendo characters) can coyly hint at things of interest to the world. Why just yesterday morning, Martinet dropped hints at an "Awesome new Mario game." Normally such a statement would provide us little in the way of excitement, except it came paired with "And it's not NSMB [New Super Mario Bros.] Wii, and it's not Galaxy 2," as well as assuring us "it's going to be crazy fun!" Considering the recent release of Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and the two he mentioned in his Tweet, we're fairly sure Mr. "It's a me, Mario!" is dropping his dulcet tones into an unannounced "new Mario game." We've shot Nintendo a note for some clarification and will update this post as soon as we know more.[Via GamingTarget]

I don’t think there’s any Pokemon fan out there that would be willing to part that much for a copy of Pokemon Dash. Even the most hardcore of fans can admit that this game is a stinker! Thanks to Darkuni for the heads up.

During an event celebrating the recent theatrical release of Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike in Japan, Namco Bandai's Makoto Yoshizumi said there is a strong internal desire to develop a sequel to Xbox 360 and PlayStation Tales of Vesperia. According to Yoshizumi, staff have questioned whether a Vesperia 2 is in the publishers future, leaving him to jokingly respond, "Don't talk like a fan!" "We're thinking about it," he told press during the creator discussion in Japan's Shinjuku district. According to the panel, Vesperia's story is far from over as Namco Bandai is already brainstorming ideas if the opportunity for a new film in the series arises. "I don't know when it will happen, but we'd like to show [these things] in video form," Namco Bandai's general manager told those in attendance. Hopefully Namco Bandai will release a potential sequel for all platforms simultaneously, otherwise we may have a repeat situation of angry Japanese gamers on our hands.
