Just like last week, the original version of a game remade on DS has been released on Virtual Console in Japan: last week it was Kirby Super Star, and this week it's Fire Emblem. We're guessing this is a coincidence, otherwise it's a really weird initiative. Also like last week, Namco Bandai releases a pair of arcade games in the same series, this time the more recognizable Dig Dug. And WiiWare returns! ... With Uno.On DS, there's another chunk of The Tower DS, more Japanese city maps, and some English training. Fire Emblem: Dragon of Darkness and Sword of Light (Famicom, 1 player, 500 Wii Points) Dig Dug (Arcade, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points) Dig Dug II (Arcade, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points) Uno (WiiWare, 1-6 players, 800 Wii Points) The Tower DS: Challenge in front of the suburban train station! Gigantic Shopping Center (DSiWare, 1 player, 500 DSi Points) Pocket Rurubu: Kamakura and Pocket Rurubu: Osaka (DSiWare, 1 player, 800 DSi Points each) High School English Foundation 400 Word Master (DSiWare, 1 player, 800 DSi Points)

Nintendo UK will release the black Wii system on November 6, as part of a limited edition bundle including matching Wii Remote, Nunchuk, and MotionPlus peripherals, and both Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort. This bundle will be available elsewhere in Europe on November 20. Along with the black bundle, Nintendo is releasing the black Classic Controller Pro accessory. No price has been announced for any of these items. Nintendo of America has yet to announce any plans to release any of these items -- in fact, it has announced that there are no plans. But, really, it's waiting until every holdout gets impatient and buys a white system.

Awhile back, we brought you screens and information on Sukeban Shachou Rena Wii, a game that featured cats in a business setting…and it was all about mini-games. Even I admit that the game looked hysterical, which is why I kept one of the wallpapers all this time. Now it turns out that a group of [...]

“The DS and PlayStation check were very strict. We had to change things over and over again and have the game re-checked.” - producer Ayako Nishimura It appears that one of the major points of contention had to do with nipples. In the images below, you see a screenshot from the PC version (nipples), [...]

Direct link here What could SEGA be teasing with this? It’s definitely Sonic related, we just don’t know in what way. With the sound at the end of the video, and the projects that we know of, I’m guessing this has to do with Sonic and SEGA All-Stars Racing. Anyone else have another [...]

Want to get Borderlands a little early and stay up a little late? In addition to the North Texas midnight launches that Gearbox staffers will be attending, the company has announced midnight launches at around 1,300 different GameStop locations. We guess 2K does have more pull than we thought! You can browse the list right here and see if your closest store is on the list. If it isn't ... think of it as a chance to get acquainted with some new GameStop employees.Basically, you now have only one excuse for not getting Borderlands tonight if you're into the game and you're in the US, and that is not wanting to go to GameStop and stand in line at midnight. Which is actually pretty reasonable.

Marriage proposals via video games aren't exactly new, but they're still clever -- and usually cute. Last Thursday, Brad Smith proposed to his girlfriend of five years using a hacked version of Super Mario World, placing coins in world 1-1 to spell out, "Will you marry me?" Cute, right? But we have to question Brad's filming of the occasion, because, if we didn't know better, we'd think the couple was being watched by a serial killer hiding behind their couch. You can see what we mean after the break.Seriously -- tell us that, when the camera pulls back to catch Brad on his knee, ring in hand, you don't want to yell out, "Look out! There's someone else in the room!" Or maybe it's just the close proximity to Halloween that's got us all on edge. Still ... Brad, if you're reading this, please drop us a line to let us know you're alright?
