Eager to play Resident Evil Zero on the Wii, but not so eager that you've already purchased the GameCube disc? Or the Japanese Wii version that came out in July 2008? Capcom has announced that Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil Zero will be released in North America on December 1, 2009, at a $29.99 price point. Despite Capcom USA's initial protests, American plans for this re-release were finally revealed in March of this year. We assume the December release is entirely a marketing decision, as there is already a localization of Resident Evil Zero, made for the identical GameCube game, which means it probably didn't take too long to prepare this, which adds controller support for the Wiimote/Nunchuk and Classic Controller, for North America.

The "Extended Mix Pack 01" DLC will be added to the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Store today and includes the following two mixes for 480 and $5.99, respectively (and not sold separately): "All Of Me" by 50 Cent featuring Mary J. Blige vs. "Radio Ga Ga" by Queen "DARE" by Gorillaz vs. "Can't Truss It" Performed by Public Enemy In a recent interview with IGN, FreeStyleGames' Chris Lee explained that the $3-per-track price can be attributed to the extra work and licensing required to synthesize the two songs in each mix. The Extended Mix mash-ups will be making their way to Wii sometime in late November -- around the same time the game's second DLC bundle, the "David Guetta Mix Pack," is scheduled for release on PSN and XBLM. That pack, which is slated for November 24, incorporates three of Guetta's songs: "When Love Takes Over," "On The Dance Floor," and "Sexy Bitch," which was presumably written about us. Rawr.

If you're looking for a UMD version of Half-Minute Hero in Quebec, stop trying. A Destructoid reader looking for the game was surprised it had skipped a release altogether in the Canadian province -- and it's all thanks to the law. "Canadian distribution is always tricky because of the bilingual law that Quebec enforces, so for titles with limited distribution we do not create a second bilingual version specifically for Canada because it's too expensive. Unfortunately, that's what happened to Half-Minute Hero," an XSEED representative stated.Thankfully, digital distribution offers a workaround. PlayStation Network appears to be exempt from Quebec's bilingual laws, so a simple visit to the PlayStation Store is all it takes to bypass the French language police.
