This is a fantastic bit of fan-art from theharvestmoonmike over at the GameFAQs boards. Man, I’d love to see Nintendo try something like this! Thanks to Nintendonly for the heads up.

Congratulations, Game Boy! You’ve finally been given the award that you so rightly deserve. The Game Boy is now a part of the Strong National Museum of Play’s Toy Hall of Fame. Without this guy, we probably wouldn’t have the DS right now!

After scans from Famitsu all but confirmed it, Capcom today revealed that the crescendo of humanity vs. his own creations - car bashing - will return in Super Street Fighter IV. Though the image of Juri above is all we're offered by Capcom-Unity for now, various Capcom staff Twitter accounts lead us to believe we'll be hearing more about this bonus stage next week. In the meantime, we've dropped an excellent video of John Cleese beating up a car with a stick for you just after the break. You're welcome.

What does a dev do when they’ve wrapped up their very first game? They make a cake to celebrate it! That explains the Need for Speed: NITRO DS cake you see above. A delicious vehicle indeed.

This doesn't just happen in the movies, folks -- it also happens in Canada! Judge Marvin Garfinkle has agreed to release a rather problematic child on bail, granted he provides the court with his beloved console as collateral. The Winnipeg Sun reports that the 12 year old -- whose name has not been released -- has forked over his Wii and, among honoring court dates, must pledge to remain out of trouble, reside with his grandma and participate in a bail management program. For being 12 years old, the kid certainly has acquired quite an adult-sized rap sheet over the last year, which includes assault, vandalism and even a case of disobeying court order by going to school when he wasn't supposed to. Here are some of the things that will be killing humanity in Mass Effect 2: Collectors -- an insect-like race, controlled by a single leader, that has access to the technology that "no one else in the galaxy" has. They can paralyze humans, and according to the video dev diary above, can abduct entire colonies. Oh, and they have beam weapons. Abominations -- Husks from the first Mass Effect, but now on fire and 100-percent more suicide bomber-y. Scions - Three transformed human beings that have been grafted together onto a weapon. Essentially, super-zombies. With guns. Batorians - A "flying suit of armor" apparently made of thirty Husks that can "obliterate everything." The Geth will also make a return in Mass Effect 2. Legion, a Geth that has gained sentience, will hunt the player through the adventure, and it'll be up to you to figure out why. Provided your Shepard, um, doesn't die first.

Aside from being a pretty cool name for a band, Encleverment Experiment is a new Xbox Live Arcade game from Blitz Arcade. Debuting on Wednesday, November 11th, the Avatar-supporting bout of brainage offers 16 different minigames and puzzles, including word searches, mathematical exercises and odd-one-out type things. Thankfully, the difficulty can be toned down from difficult (for adults) to something quite a bit easier (for children or bloggers). If you're keen to enroll in "Professor Ivor Question's mental faculty," it'll cost you 800 points ($10). As an early test of your skill, see if you can count how many puns there were between the quotation marks.Highlight for solution: 19. Look closely. Gallery: Encleverment Experiment (XBLA)

Have you been wondering why it’s taken so long to get screenshots and footage of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare — Reflex Edition? We like to consider ourselves open-minded when it comes to new culinary experiences, but we confess that we've never had the occasion to dine upon a god. We've heard that it's a delicious (and sizable!) meal -- in fact, on the latest episode of No Reservations, Anthony Bourdain described god-meat as being "light and airy, like aged pork, but with divine properties." Japanese gamers (or PSP owners with a loose comprehension of the Japanese language) will be able to find out for themselves when a demo for God Eater launches on November 26. The demo for the Namco Bandai-developed action-RPG will be fairly substantial, offering 10 missions, character customization and a small sliver of the game's opening story sequence. It will also support four player co-op in the demo's non-tutorial missions. The demo will be added to the Japanese PSN on Thanksgiving and will also be available on the game's official site. Between those two options, we're sure you'll find some way to snack on a few celestial entities later this month.

This is a pretty sad situation. The original auction for this game box sold for upwards of $700, but it turned out that the person that bid that amount didn’t think his bid would be the winner. He said he didn’t have the money, and the seller lowered the price to $400. [...]

A year ago, the following sentence would have been absolutely, totally, and in all other ways inconceivable: The Blu-ray edition of the Halo Legends anime project is scheduled for release on February 9, 2010. The impossible union of Halo and Blu-ray will not only arrive on the same day as the DVD release, but it will also contain an exclusive overview of the series through the events of Halo 3. As Blu-ray.com risibly puts it, "Soon you'll be able to play Halo on your PS3." Now, we'd like to think that this generation of consoles is far enough along that this news won't ruffle any fanboy feathers. Then again, we'd also like to think that HD DVD, in all its awesomeness, is poised for a comeback. Just remember, Halo fans, Blu-ray discs are not your enemy. Cliffhangers are.
