If you like film grain effects, shooting zombies, and getting cursed at, but you haven't picked up The House of the Dead: Overkill yet, this deal from Newegg is exactly what you've been waiting for. The online retailer has marked the game down to $12.99 (with free shipping). Be warned, there really is a lot of cursing. Even the first 15 minutes of the game sounds like someone stepped on Samuel L. Jackson's foot. That's what that M rating is about. Well, that and all the disgusting dead people exploding and stuff. Yes, some real-life Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus clowns hit up Best Buy in NYC this morn to grab a copy of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus for Wii. Where’s PETA?! I thought for sure that they’d be there.

When Shiren the Wanderer 3 hit Japan, it featured all sorts of online interactivity. A closer look at the localized boxart (which we recently showed you) is missing something important…the WFC logo. Will the North American version go without online modes? We know that the DLC dungeons are already going to be [...]

European owners of the PS3 version of The Beatles: Rock Band who decided to purchase the "Abbey Road" DLC are having an awfully difficult time coming together. A lengthy forum thread on the Rock Band message board tells of the woes of a number of overseas faux-rockers who, after downloading the content on their PS3, have lost the ability to access any of the game's online modes. A Harmonix developer responded to the complaints, asking for the specific circumstances of these server crashes and promising that the Beatles team is "investigating this issue to try to find out what's going on." That is to say, the Beatles: Rock Band development team -- not the Beatles themselves. We imagine they're a little too busy for this kind of thing.

Ignition Entertainment, partnering with recent publisher BFF Marvelous Entertainment, has announced a new survival horror game for Xbox 360 called Deadly Premonition. The game is the second original work from Access Games, who created the PS2 stealth game Spy Fiction, and also codeveloped The Sky Crawlers and Ace Combat X. The game stars an FBI agent investigating a murder in Silent Hill a rural town full of unexplained events, mysterious characters, and, apparently, dripping blood. It will feature exploration and driving in addition to fighting creepy Jawas. Ignition predicts an early 2010 release. If this game looks familiar to you, you have a really good memory! It was announced back in 2007 as Rainy Woods, and was a multiplatform release at the time. It's now been renamed and targeted just at the 360.

Nintendo is holding a little family-friendly launch fiesta for New Super Marios Bros. Wii this Saturday, November 14, at its flagship store in New York City. The House of Mario will "transform" Rockefeller Plaza into the Mushroom Kingdom, providing demo stations, "costumed characters, trivia challenges, prize giveaways (while supplies last)." The event takes place from 3-7PM and NSMBW is available to purchase early from the Nintendo World Store during that time. The game officially launches the following day, November 15. If getting it a day early seems worth the trip, remember to add NYC's lovely (8.875%) sales tax to your budget.
