It's been over a year since Sony America and Japan debuted video delivery services for the PlayStation Store. Today, the long-delayed feature finally makes its way to Europe. The service will launch in France, Germany, Spain and the UK today, with other countries to follow in 2010. Downloads will be available directly from the PS3 and PSP, with rentals starting from €1.99, and movie purchases starting from €7.99. For a limited time, the PlayStation Store will be running a special promo. Anyone that purchases Angels and Demons from the newly launched service will get a free copy of The Da Vinci Code. New registrants of the PlayStation Network will also be able to get a free download of Transformers if they create an account before November 30. "The launch of the PlayStation Network video delivery service extends our entertainment offering and provides consumers with another way to access their favorite movies, whether at home or on the go," SCEE's Andrew House wrote in a press release. SCEE's Jem Alexander also shared his enthusiasm with us, saying the service will be "amazing" and that "biscuits are brilliant."

This is both hilarious and awesome at the same time… Emmitsburg — Donald Duvall used to love putting jigsaw puzzles together. One day last spring, his buddies at the Emmitsburg Senior Center invited him to bowl a game on the center’s Nintendo Wii system. Since then, he hasn’t had much time for puzzles, since he’s [...]

[Nebeziel, deviantART user] A Google image search of Lara Croft is a lot tamer than it used to be these days, though it's still something we wouldn't suggest doing. Thankfully, we have a link to quench your thirst for inspired, non-naked, sexually-deprived-fanboy-fantasy-quasi-porn, courtesy of The Design Inspiration. There are 40 fanworks in total, all originating from deviantART (obviously). There are a lot of great renditions, including the image where Lara is fighting dinosaurs and the one where she's hiding from dinosaurs. We also have a soft spot for this odd image of her fighting Wonder Woman, but the best has to be this image where she defends herself so she can stop and eat the baked potato she brought down into the tomb with her. Tomb raiding takes a lot of carbohydrates, people! [Via Kotaku]

In Japan, Capcom made 26 secret flyer arcade booklets. Those books were made from 1996 to 1999. Turns out that Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom is going to receive the 27th book. No word on this bonus coming to the states.

It’s the Wii’s big number 3, so let’s take a look at 4 titles that were there at the start of it all… Man, Twilight Princess is still doing good! On the flip-side, poor Excite Truck never caught on. I can’t understand why that is! Do Wii owners just dislike trucks?

I can’t decide if the invaders would welcome an automobile like this, or if it would just make it more of a target for abduction.

I can’t even believe it. The Wii turns three years old today. It seems like just yesterday I was wowed by Wii Sports, and enthralled by Twilight Princess. How much joy, pleasure and anger you’ve brought us over the years. Right now, you’re facing a rather hard time in Japan, but [...]

Not to be overshadowed by its bigger brother, a new PSP firmware has gone live tonight. Update 6.20 adds the ability to export video and photo playlists from an updated version of Media Go. However, the biggest addition to this update is the PlayStation Network Digital Comics Reader in a new "Extras" section of the XMB. While the Reader can be downloaded tonight, the service won't go live until December in Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States. Japan will be getting an equivalent manga service at the same time. French, Italian, German and Spanish stores will follow in early 2010. Here's the full change log: The importing of playlists from the Media Go application is now supported under [Video]. The importing of playlists from the PlayStation 3 system or the Media Go application is now supported under [Photo]. The [TV] category has been integrated into the new [Extras] category in the XMB menu. Compatible models: PSP-2000, PSP-2005, PSP-3000, PSP-N1000, PSP-N1005
