Doling out only a handful of fresh screens for Crackdown 2 with a smattering of in-game renders, Ruffian Games has done little to supply us with more information on its upcoming game in today's media release. Everything from various character designs to about two dozen weapon types can be found in the gallery below, showcasing the visually gussied-up artwork from the sequel to 2007's surprise hit. It appears as though the few screenshots included are of areas we've seen in the past, though (as you can see in the image above) we're now treated to many more explosions. Now if only we could get some sort of a release date, we could start getting properly excited for Crackdown 2. The thrill just ain't there without an end in sight, ya know?

Ah, one of the many joys of shopping for games at thirft shops. Just what in the world hides within the walls of this cartridge? I don’t know, but someone didn’t want anyone else to know without purchasing!

Just in time for the release of LittleBigPlanet on PSP, Best Buy is selling a $20 accessory pack that includes an LBP-themed case, cleaning cloth, screen protector and a sticker sheet with various Sackboys and Sackgirls. It also includes an elusive Sackboy plushy -- albeit one with slightly deformed proportions. NAYIN wrote a very exciting review for the bundle on the Best Buy website, which we've helpfully reprinted for you here: "WELL, I REALLY LIKE LBP BECAUSE ITS AN EXCELLENT GAME FOR THE PS3 AND I REALLY THING I AM GOING TO ENJOY IT NOW WHERE EVER I TAKE IT. SO TO KEEP THE FUN WHY NOT DEMONSTRATED WITH THIS PARTICULAR DESIGNED CASE THAT LIKE I SAID THE CAFE-BROWN COLOR IS SUPER IN FOR THIS SEASON." So not only will you be showing your dedication to LBP with this accessory pack, you'll be SUPER FASHIONABLE. Thanks, NAYIN!

Timegate has released a title update for Section 8, which should fix several bugs in the game and tweak a few things. The main fixes include improved matchmaking, a fix for faulty Achievements and improved tank controls. AI bots will now also follow and defend human players, and the update also fixes latency problems and lost stats. There's a host of other smaller tweaks and changes as well, which you can read about on the Section 8 forums. Likely not fixed by the patch, a precipitous drop in players since November 10.

Soon, friends who see that you're playing Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues on Xbox Live or PlayStation Network won't need to sit idol-y by -- they'll be able to join in. LucasArts has tweeted that it's working on a patch that will bring online co-op play to the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the latest Lego game on the block. What's more, the publisher has also confirmed that the patch will let players collaborate in the game's level editor, tweeting, "In LIJ2's new co-op, you'll be able to join others as they build and play their levels." As for timing, LucasArts says to "give it a few weeks" before the update is transported by submarine from Cairo to a secret island base Microsoft and Sony's servers.

As with all the things in our life we love the most, we're not sure if Zelda machinima "The Legend of Cool" is supposed to be a joke or not. But if you can watch Bucky Studios' delightful blend of Ocarina of Time, the freshest beats since "Ski Dance" and utterly earnest singing after the break and not walk away with a spring in your step, we can't help you. Also, "Now get in my mouth and fulfill your destiny" is the new thing that you should say all the time. You're welcome.

Considering the artwork depicted on the "next month" page of November's Official PlayStation Magazine, it requires only the slightest of hops to reach the conclusion that a new Dead Space announcement is lurking just around the corner. Allegedly snapped by GOONL!NE (as in the connectivity instruction, not the lineup of criminals), the artwork features a grotesque, tentacled creature viewed through what appears to be the iconic toaster visor of Dead Space protagonist Isaac Clarke. The site confidently suggests that the creature itself is derived from the original game's concept art. Now's the time to strategically remember several job listings, which mentioned a Dead Space follow-up, along with EA CEO John Riccitiello's recently expressed desire to have EA focus on more profitable, safer games. What could be safer than an isolated spaceship sending out a distress call? The November issue of Official PlayStation Magazine is on sale behind youuuuu in the UK right now. [Via CVG]

Wow, look at that. I can’t believe how much more the Wii versions cost! The DS versions are priced the same as the PS3/360 versions! I guess they think the bigger market for these titles is on the Nintendo side of things. Thanks to AusGamer for the heads up!

A new demo has arrived on Xbox Live Marketplace for Winter Sports 2010. Now, you might be asking yourself, "What is Winter Sports 2010?" We asked the same question. It comes from 49Games, makers of Summer Athletics on the Wii. After a little digging, we found a trailer on the YouTubes and confirmed our suspicions. Yep, it's a traditional Olympics-esque collection of mini-games, testing your skills at timed button presses and the like. The sports on hand include snowboarding, skiing, figure skating, speed skating, bobsledding and more. Though, honestly, why would you need anything other than figure skating? Watch the trailer after the break. Add the Winter Sports 2010 demo to your 360 download queue

A DLC three-pack of tracks by French DJ David Guetta is available today for DJ Hero across PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii. The original works "When Love Takes Over" featuring Kelly Rowland, "Sexy Chick" featuring Akon, and "On The Dancefloor" featuring will.i.am and apl.de.ap make up the mash-up pack, which goes for 640 ($8) and $7.99 on Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Store, respectively (the tracks are not offered for purchase separately). Each track is sold separately for Wii at 300 Wii Points ($3) apiece. Also out today for Wii are the two tracks from last month's Extended Mix Pack 01: "All Of Me" by 50 Cent featuring Mary J. Blige vs. "Radio Ga Ga" by Queen, and "DARE" by Gorillaz vs. "Can't Truss It" performed by Public Enemy. Those will set living room DJs back 300 Wii Points, as well. The knowledge that your DJ Hero controller is a million times cooler than the Tony Hawk Ride board is, as always, priceless.
