Here are three games that have been out in the states for a number of months now, and Australia is only just getting them now. It appears that the wait for the Mad Dog McCree Gunslinger Pack was worth it, as a Wiimote shell has been included. Too bad the game still sucks! [...]

Looks like we could have the name of one of the titles to be revealed at the Spike TV VGAs. No specific word on platforms yet, since the OFLC never bothers to list things properly. Keep an eye on the Spike TV VGAs….I bet we see first glimpse of the game there.

Ah, Hachi Koi…the EA Japan love sim. We followed this a number of months ago, and then news just pretty much dried up. Now we know why things went quiet. The latest issue of Famitsu states that the game has been cancelled, alongside Tornado by Success. While Hachi Koi may never [...]

Is there something going on that I don’t know about? Was there a big sale on first party Nintendo games?! Why would Amazon sell out of their Metroid Prime Trilogy allotment now? I guess the holidays really are working their magic! Thanks to CoffeewithChess for the heads up.

Hello, designers. As you know in fashion, one day you're in, the next you're out. Tens of millions of Wii owners have the chance to try their skills at Project Runway (repeatedly) when the game sashays the catwalk of retail on March 2, 2010. The title includes major staples of the show's cast, including model Heidi Klum, mentor Tim Gunn, frosty Nina Garcia and "top American fashion designer" Michael Kors. The game sounds like the most warped version of the Cooking Mama gameplay template yet, as players will have access to an interactive garment studio, fashion career mode, hair and make-up studios, a fashion shoot feature and a Wii Balance Board-compatible catwalk game. Come to think of it, this game sounds an awful lot like a hybrid of Project Runway and America's Next Top Model. Seriously, how are we supposed to learn to walk properly on a Wii Balance Board without Ms. J telling us that we're plodding along like a drunken elephant or a tweaked out drag queen with a case of the twirls. Anyway, good luck, designers. Make it work!

Already a great game, Dragon Age: Origins is getting incrementally better as BioWare just announced Patch 1.02 for its sprawling RPG. None of the fixes contained within the new download are huge -- more tweaks than anything -- but if you've found, say, dagger damage to be a bit low when using a character with high dexterity, or if you're plagued by too many health poultices, this patch should please you. In addition to a long list of minor cross-platform fixes, there's an extra list of fixes that it makes to the PC version. This corrects one problem that could be a big deal: "Creating a character in a custom module did not create a folder for saves. This could result in corruption of main campaign saves. This no longer occurs." Celebrate by playing the main campaign -- and then saving! [Thanks, Samuel!]

As you can see, Amazon doesn’t actually have any more copies of New Super Mario Bros. Wii to sell. They are redirecting customers to other sellers that have shops on Amazon. I’d think that’s a pretty big deal, especially leading into the holiday season! Thanks to Mark and Jonny_Boi for the heads [...]

ITmedia has a headline in their news section reading, “Magicon Vending Machine in Osaka’s Nihonbashi area to be removed.” Looks like things are getting very serious over there. No information on why the vending machines are being taken down, but you can bet the pressure from Nintendo has something to do with it.
