Boy, Rocksteady has WAY better bosses than we do. When we say we need two more months to finish a post, our higher-ups open a whole barrel of complaints: "There's no way it could take you that long to write a post," or, "It won't be anywhere near relevant anymore." We've heard them all. But when Rocksteady said it needed two more months for Batman: Arkham Asylum, pushing the release from June to August, it was apparently backed completely by the game's publishers, Eidos and Warner Bros. Speaking with Kotaku, game director Sefton Hill said the secret is to have "confidence in the game" and "be able to show that [added] time is going to be well spent." So, in closing, we'd like to tell AOL that we're confident the extra five months we're spending on that PS3 Slim rumor post you asked about will be well spent. Thank you.

Looks like that was a one-week only deal. Now you’re going to have to cough up the full $50 to get all three games, which is still a ridiculously good price. Thanks to Drew for the heads up!

Watch your head, folks, because prices are falling. Today's Xbox Live holiday deal of the day is targeted directly at DLC for Bethesda's critical and commercial darling, Fallout 3. If you're looking to add more intense VATS-related action to the RPG, each add-on pack is available for 400 ($5) a piece -- a 50% savings of your Microsoft-branded space bucks. New to the Fallout 3 universe? There are five DLC add-on packs for the (already) a lengthy RPG. Arguably the most important -- and one you should tackle first -- is Broken Steel, which increases the game's overall level cap to 30 and allows players to continue playing beyond the game's conclusion. Also, a Game of the Year edition is available in stores, which includes all of Fallout 3's downloadable content -- making it cheaper if you don't already own the game to begin with. Add Fallout 3's Operation Anchorage DLC to your Xbox 360 download queue Add Fallout 3's The Pitt DLC to your Xbox 360 download queue Add Fallout 3's Broken Steel DLC to your Xbox 360 download queue Add Fallout 3's Point Lookout DLC to your Xbox 360 download queue Add Fallout 3's Mothership Zeta DLC to your Xbox 360 download queue [Thanks, Brett]

Sorry, that headline is a bit misleading -- GameStop's not going to give you $20 store credit in exchange for that Family Matters-branded Snuggie. Rather, the retailer has an extensive list of good and terrible games you might have received this holiday season, which your local 'Stop will give you a Jackson's worth of credit for. The offer's running until January 10, so you've still got time to decide whether you can muster up the courage to ask Maw Maw for the gift receipt, or whether you should just cut your losses.

On Christmas day six years ago, one boy had a legitimate dream: To recreate the soundtrack for The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time, making it sound like it was recorded by live musicians. Three-fifths of a decade passed, and the boy became a man. More importantly, the Zelda Reorchestrated project produced its first succulent fruits: A 22-track compilation of Ocarina's tunes, as performed by a virtual philharmonic. You can stream some of the tracks off the Zelda Reorchestrated site, or download the entire shebang for free. Or, you can just wait for the group to recreate the timeless music of Wand of Gamelon, which should be just around the corner.

A portion of a WiiLoveIt review… If you’re a person who uses the DSi’s alarm (or even a standard alarm) to wake yourself up during the week and the premise appeals to you, then by all means go for it. If you prefer the Animal Crossing theme instead, just be warned that there’s more bang for [...]

I’m pretty sure the article meant to name the things that changed our lives during this decade, but either way, it’s nice to see the Wii get another nod for breaking down the wall between non-gamers and the industry. Thanks to RawDad for the heads up!

From Software is holding a contest in Japan, and their main prize is a pretty hefty one. What are they giving away? Well, they’re offering up a copy of every game they’ve ever created. I’d say that’s a pretty nice haul! For those of us that can’t enter the contest, we can at least enjoy [...]
