We've all seen Super Mario Bros. parodies before -- some that even make Mario a pretty sick and deranged dude. Been there, done that. But, what makes this College Humor video so special -- aside from its unusually grody depiction of the brothers Mario -- is its surprise ending. We won't spoil it for you, so you'll have to click on over if you want to check it out.

Truth be told, there's so much info contained in G4's massive interview with Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells that we couldn't possibly encapsulate it all in one headline. Naturally, it all focuses on Uncharted 2, which has been raking in awards left and right as 2009 comes to a close. Among other things, Wells discusses the script, which the team actually wrote as the game was being developed. While there was a rough outline at the beginning of production, Wells notes that having a fully fleshed out script can cause trouble if changes have to be made in the middle of development. Wells also discusses the pacing of the game, which he likens to pulp novels and movies like Indiana Jones. He admits that Uncharted 2's treasure hunting mechanic can actually slow the pacing. Should Naughty Dog work on another Uncharted -- and we get the feeling they just might -- Wells says the treasure hunting could be improved, perhaps by making more hidden treasures available only after the first playthrough. Other topics covered include the complexity of the train level, sales numbers and how far Naughty Dog thinks it can push the PS3 hardware. Uncharted fans should definitely give it a read.

Do you hate mid-90s FMV game actors? Do you love light gun games? You're going to be thrilled about this upcoming WiiWare release from Digital Leisure. This Monday, you'll be able to shoot several of those actors in Fast Draw Showdown on WiiWare. Originally released to arcades in 1994, Fast Draw Showdown is a series of -- what else? -- showdowns against various Old West stereotypes, culminating in a match against real-life quick draw expert Wes Flowers. There's a trailer after the break -- if you pretend to shoot at everyone on the screen, it'll be just like playing the game!

Last year, TorrentFreak awarded Spore the dubious title of Most Pirated Game of 2008 -- this year, the victor (by an overwhelming margin) is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. According to the torrent news site's calculations, the PC version of Infinity Ward's shooter was unscrupulously downloaded 4.1 million times. When combined with the 360 version of the game, that number tops five million. Looks like boycotts do work! And by "boycotts," we of course mean, "mankind's overwhelming desire to get things for free through easily accessible, barely regulated channels." [Via IGN]

Another update for a DSiWare game, yet no announcement from Nintendo. It looks like Nintendo is going to have to find a better way to announce this stuff. Thanks to Matt for the heads up!

PS3 heroes heeding the call of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 may have noticed all of the game's DLC has been pulled from PSN. Users on the game's official forums, the Hero HQ, and folks over at the official PlayStation boards are complaining all of the game's DLC has up and vanished from PSN -- something Joystiq can also confirm. So, what gives? Well, we don't know right now, but we've put in word to both Sony and Activision and will let you know when we hear back. Direct link here Apparently this ad ran on TV for a very short time before it was pulled for the licensed music issue. How in the hell do you come up with stealing music from the Game Boy version of Robocop.

A portion of a Hanafuda Times review… I say unto you, Castlevania fans, yearning to play the forgotten adventure, the one so terribly rendered in 8-bits, there is a better way! Castlevania has gone back to it’s roots, just the way you liked it. It may not be as long as you would have hoped, but [...]

Put down that can of Imulsion energy drink, friend, 'cause we've got some good news for you (and we wouldn't want you to choke, you know). The original Gears of War has arrived on Xbox Live's Games on Demand service, making it that much easier to get ready for next year's big announcement from series creator Cliff Bleszinski (spoilers: it's probably Gears of War 3!). For the usual $19.99, all 6GB of Marcus Fenix's Locust murder opus can be yours -- without all that pesky 'physical media' nonsense -- through the Xbox Live Marketplace (except in Japan, sorry!). We've linked it below of course, for your convenience. Shortcut: Add Gears of War to your Xbox 360 download queue (via Xbox.com)

Even if you have yet to check out Halfbrick's gravity-based puzzler Blast Off -- and even if you lack the Xbox 360 required to play the Indie Games version or the PSP or PS3 required for the Minis version -- you can enjoy the "ambient and introspective" soundtrack (as Halfbrick describes it) right now, because Halfbrick is nice. Fire up the BitTorrent client of your choice, and you can have the Blast-Off soundtrack in either MP3 or Apple Lossless format. We couldn't be happier with this trend of using free downloadable game soundtracks as promotional tools! As it happens, we often enjoy listening to music.

The only real takeaway here is that a WiiWare game appears to have received a legitimate commercial for television. OK, so it's Pokemon Rumble, and yes, it's one of Nintendo's biggest franchises, but it's still a brave new world when a downloadable title gets some legit marketing dollars. We haven't actually seen the commercial on TV, but it's apparently playing during non-Adult Swim hours on Cartoon Network. Check out the 15-second spot for the 1500 Wii Point game after the break. EA Sports Active may be fine for the ladies, but we want to get trim with more manly pursuits, like lumbercraft and bronzemanship. According to a rumor posted by Destructoid, we may just get our wish. The site reports that, according to sources close to the project, EA Sports is creating NFL Trainer for Wii, which will help players work on their technique and get fit with a variety of football drills. As if that weren't manly enough, there's talk of an included football peripheral to plug your Wiimote into. Can you imagine the rush of pretend-throwing the old virtual prolate spheroid down the e-gridiron? If that's not enough to put hair on your chest, we don't know what is.

[GameFAQS] Ogre Battle, the greatest Queen-influenced strategy game series of all time, will make another appearance on the Virtual Console in Japan next month, following the 2009 release of Ogre Battle for SNES (which made its way around the world). Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber will be released on Virtual Console some time in January, according to Nintendo's most recent Virtual Console schedule. Siliconera notes that releasing international versions may not be as simple for Ogre Battle 64: developer Quest was an independent studio at the time of the Atlus-published game's creation, but is now owned by Square Enix. If Quest (and therefore Square Enix) has the rights to the IP, then Atlus may not be able to publish the VC release Stateside. Perhaps the two companies can come to an agreement over the right to upload a file to a server. See the rest of the Virtual Console offerings for Japan after the break.

You already know that Tetsuya Nomura is working on Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep and Final Fantasy Versus XIII, but Siliconera has a look at a patent application that may hint at yet another one of his projects -- possibly one of two that he recently mentioned. The application, filed by Square Enix, details a battle system (credited to Nomura) wherein characters inherit abilities from the last character used. A platform for the game isn't specifically mentioned in the application, but a diagram contained within seems to point to a portable system like the PSP. It's all speculation and flowcharts at the moment, but take those home, throw them in a pot, add some broth and some spiky hair. Baby, you've got an RPG stew going.

I've watched horror movies before

I've played Resident Evils 2 & 4

I've seen Giygas(many times)

I've suffered re-occuring nightmares for 2 years.(because of watching a paranormal show and I ain't talking about Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures, etc. I'm talking about "A Haunting".)(and don't worry, the nightmares are gone)and for some reason...I was forced to stay up late everynight until 1:00 AM for some reason until the nightmares went away..(for some reason, if it was 1:00 AM, the nightmares couldn't harm me..)

I enjoy the Halloween movie series(original movies, refuse to watch Halloween III)

I'm worried this game might contain Satanatism(heard you can find pentagrams in one of the Silent Hill games..)

I'm getting ready to watch Jacob's Ladder(when Netflix sends it..)

I've seen screamers before..

I've played the Scary Maze game(barely scared me.)

I've suffered various childhood trauma(birthmother neglected me when I was a infant..,she tryed to take me back.. and afterwards, I couldn't talk again until I was 3..,saw my first piece of pornography at 5(by accident..), one of my ears was accidently cut off when I was at a hair salon once...(when I was I guess...2),and then nightmare stuff I mentioned above, saw The Shining when I was 12(the rotting old lady scared me and scarred me for life...I'll never look at old women naked..),I looked when in my gecko's cage(happened recently, may not count as childhood trauma, but it's still trauma.)once and there was a rotting cricket carcass with maggots eating it...(Don't worry my gecko's fine.),I saw 2 of the Resident Evil movies when I was 12..)

I can take listening to supense music..

Will I be ready for Silent Hill?

Francis
It's rated M, so no. Same reason you shouldn't watch rated R movies when you are 12.

Good god man, it's a video game. Nothing to go batshit or be scarred from.
