“On a few occasions we had a class of second graders come to the office and sit around and make drawings for us based on very basic topics like ‘robots’ and “pirates,’. These sessions were fantastic for getting into the mind of the untamed imagination of children, and also served to help define the [...]
Grunt and Thane are just a couple more of the intergalactic psychos you'll be adventuring with in Mass Effect 2 starting January 26. Sure, there are some relatively sane folks like Tali and Miranda Lawson along for the Normandy cruise around the stars, but just on the estrogen front that's balanced by the bra-less anger of Samara and the grrrrrl-rage of Subject Zero. Can't we just get a Mass Effect 2 character that's big, fuzzy and easily marketable as a plush figure -- that would probably make EA happy. You'll find the clip for the even-less-cuddly-than-Wrex Krogan above and Thane after the break.
Only one Virtual Console game this week: Final Fight 3. It's more of the same in the third installment of Capcom's classic beat-em-up, which adds custom super moves for each fighter. Check it out in the latest episode of VC in Brief above!
Final Fight 3 (SNES, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points)
Every week, we like to check out what's new on the Virtual Console. We offer these videos as a sort of taste to help you decide whether or not you would want the game in question. We also toss in our own two cents because we're pushy jerks like that.
Glow Artisan came out on DSiWare last week. Did you check it out, or even consider giving it a look? Probably not, because Nintendo drops stealth releases on the service all the time. Glow Artisan is the latest title to not get any attention from anyone, and it just so happens to [...]

The original DS version of Chronos Twin was released in Europe in 2007, but never made it to North America. The WiiWare update on the time-traveling action game, however, will be, thanks to the fact that developer Enjoy Up doesn't have to seek a publishing partner for a digital release.
Not only will Chronos Twins DX be coming to North America, Enjoy Up says it will be released next week. See a trailer after the break to decide whether that's good news or not. For our part, the Reflection-like concept of playing in two places simultaneously, combined with the idea of altering something in one time period to change the other, sounds like an excellent setup for some puzzle platforming.
We're not experienced in the crafty art of breaking and entering, but we certainly understand the draw of games. That's why this story out of a Chicago suburb really didn't surprise us so much. See, some guy broke into a young woman's apartment over the weekend and proceeded to steal her stuff, but upon seeing her DS, took a break from his heinous law-breaking to check out what the handheld had to offer.
It gets even more interesting, though. While he was engrossed in whatever DS game she had in the system, she ended up coming home from running errands, spooking the burglar. He then made off with only her pink iPod Touch, leaving her with a ransacked house and, thankfully, her DS system. We just hope he at least had the decency to not save over her game.

There’s an absolutely massive thread over on GAF that contains pretty much all you’ll need to know about the upcoming Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom. If you’re looking to easily take down your opponents on launch day, you might want to check this thread out!
Blast Corps would certainly do well to receive a bit of a remake. The game idea seems perfectly suited towards something that could hit WiiWare. Of course, that wouldn’t really bring things into the HD realm, but it would help to make it look a bit nicer!

If you've got to get the Beatles: Rock Band limited edition into your life, but don't have $250 around to pay for it, you'll be happy with what Amazon has done. In fact, since what Amazon has done is "knock $90 off the price of the Xbox 360 version," it would be hard to imagine anyone being unhappy with it who doesn't work for EA or Amazon. Right now, you can get the Xbox 360 version of The Beatles: Rock Band, with the Beatles replica instruments, for $159.99. The PS3 version is not as dramatically discounted, but is still better than MSRP at $199.99.
If you want wireless instruments and the game, but don't care about the Beatles-esque look of the guitar and drums, you can get the Special Value Edition for $139.99 on either Xbox or PS3 -- or, for wireless drums, a copy of the Rock Band 2 special edition bundled with a copy of Beatles from EA's Rock Band Deals Online for $149.
In conclusion, don't ever pay $250 for Rock Band.

Update: Price has risen to $200 for the Xbox version -- the pitfall of reporting on markdowns. Also, fixed reference to wireless instruments in the Special Value Edition.
