This is Project Runway ... and it looks like a Sims expansion pack. Releasing on March 2, this initial footage of the cash-in doesn't appear to have anything that'll keep fans of the show on pins and needles. The trailer doesn't even feature the virtual representations of show staples Heidi Klum, Tim Gunn, Nina Garcia or Michael Kors; who are all apparently featured in the game. Not to mention, the way the model avatars walk makes us want to call Ms. J from America's Next Top Model to supply some walking lessons. Looks like the game could have used some guidance from Tim Gunn and encouragement to "make it work."

I was going to label this one as ‘HUMOR’, but then I decided that the depiction was too accurate to be funny!

Remember back in the day when Capcom used to let Mega Man fans create Robot Master ideas, all in the hopes of having them make it into the next game? Well, it looks like some more of those ideas may have come through…it just took a really long time for it to happen. Come on, [...]

As always, we never know if any of these features will hit the Wii version of this game. It would be nice if developers would actually talking about the Wii and DS versions of their titles, instead of just spreading info on 360/PS3 builds, and letting Nintendo fans guess their way through. - Work the [...]

Yep, Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li was a real stinker. In fact, it was so poorly received that it takes home the ‘Golden Tomato’ award from Rotten Tomatoes for receiving the most bad reviews. Congrats game-to-movie adaptations…you’ve hit a new low.

I’m pretty sure that most of you skipped over Scooby Doo: First Frights, but that doesn’t make this developer’s behind-the-scenes look any less interesting. “Unfortunately, for Scooby-Doo! First Frights, our pre-production time wasn’t utilized as efficiently as we’d hoped for. The period was mostly absorbed by the production of a vertical slice build of the game [...]

The Mass Effect universe will gain a third novel when Retribution releases this July. Penned by Drew Karpyshyn, who also wrote the other two Mass Effect books and is the lead writer on the game, the novel features The Illusive Man attempting to outfit an ex-operative of his black-ops group, Cerberus, with Reaper technology. Microsoft's experiment in casual game creation, Kodu, is now available in preview form online. PC gamers can download the "Technical Preview" version of the game right here, which features a revamped UI sporting mouse and keyboard controls. Microsoft also added other tweaks, enhancing the "move" verb (allowing for scripted camera movements), "streamlined terrain editing tools" and characters that can respond to mouse and keyboard events. If you're a PC gamer wondering what all of the fuss is about, we suggest you check out our video walkthrough. Oh, and do let us know if you come up with any Joystiq-inspired games! As hinted at by a trademark filed late last year, Square Enix's microtransaction-supported MMO Fantasy Earth Zero will find its way to the US later this year, thanks to a partnership with Japanese publisher Gamepot. Fortunately, it seems the game will retain its free-ness on its journey to the West. We imagine it will also retain its focus on crystals and pointy-hatted mages, but that's just us speaking from our prior Squeenix experiences. For more details on the MMO, check out the press release. Or, fort a firsthand account, sign up for the U.S. version of the game's open beta test.

A super team of foundations has assembled with one goal in mind: Giving you fat stacks of loot. OK, it's not entirely about that, but you could win $50,000, just from creating levels in LittleBigPlanet. Basically, Sony (in cooperation with the MacArthur Foundation, the ESA and the good ole US of A) is holding the "Game Changers" competition, a contest that charges players with creating levels that teach America's youth about science, technology, engineering and math -- you know, the STEM initiative. Basically: Edu-gaming. Now, before you start having flashbacks of horrible dance routines and long division space battles, know you're on the clock right now! The official submission page will start accepting applicants' levels on January 15, so you better start coming up with ideas. For more info, hit up the "Game Changer" page here and best of luck! There are no words spoken in the Star Trek Online trailer you see above -- not that any words are really required. You can easily get the gist from the moving pictures, which give a brief look at the Klingon Empire's homeworld, its floating armadas, and somewhere in the vicinity of 17,000 laser discharges. Forget the fact the game isn't even out yet -- we feel confident calling it the "Most Lasered Game of 2010." If that sounds like something you want to be a part of, it's not too late to find an entry key for the open beta! Gallery: Star Trek Online
