Hey look…it’s a Pikachu that eats up a USB slot on your computer. What does it do in return? Damned if I know, because the retailer listing doesn’t say! I’m thinking it just glows and stares are you…mocking your purchase. Thanks to Remo for the heads up!

Japanese tissue manufacturer Elleair is celebrating their 30th anniversary by working with Nintendo on an Animal Crossing-themed tissue box. Why in the world that makes sense is beyond me, but the box does indeed look fun!

We don't get why somebody would do such a thing, but this mod by Flotonic, which inserts the space bounty hunter from Metroid into The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, is pretty nifty nonetheless. The only issue is that the brief video clip -- which you can watch past the break -- doesn't show Samus pulling off any of her classic moves in Ocarina of Time. She doesn't morph into a ball and she doesn't fire a single shot from her arm cannon, but oh boy does she look good in the game. [Via GoNintendo]

Sega has dated two its upcoming games for Europe, including the fanservice-filled racing game Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing. The mascot racer will arrive there on February 26, three days after the North American release date. In addition, as tweeted by the game's official account, Napoleon: Total War will be out in on February 23 -- a date that is accurate for both Europe and NA. No word on Napoleon & Historical All-Stars Racing, however. Yakuza 3 remains at an unspecified "March" date for both Europe and North America. Similarly nonspecific are Alpha Protocol, Resonance of Fate, and Infinite Space, which Videogamer reports are all still "spring," with Valkyria Chronicles 2 following in the summer.

I’m not sure the guys over at CrispyGamer have their facts straight. They seem to think that Reggie stated that New Super Mario Bros. Wii sales in North America would top both 360 and PS3 sales of Modern Warfare 2 on their own, but not 360 and PS3 sales combined. I’m pretty sure [...]

Many readers have been sending tips to Joystiq about a new PS3 firmware update. In actuality, this is not a new update at all. Firmware 3.15 was released on December 9th and introduced the ability to play PSP Minis on the PS3. While this update was originally optional, the powers-that-be at Sony are now making it a mandatory update. "We have found out that users will not be able to acquire trophies on some game titles," we were told by a SCEE representative. "Users can avoid this problem by updating the PS3 system to firmware 3.15 and therefore we've made it a mandatory update. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate for your understanding and continued support." If you haven't updated your PS3 yet, make sure to allocate some time before attempting to jump online to install this mandatory update. You don't want to be late to your MW2 party, do you? [ProTip: Save yourself some time by downloading the update now on a USB flash drive.]

The Wii port of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney arrives in Europe today, after being panned by US media for being a lazy port. We don't think "lazy port" is a strong enough term for what is essentially a GBA game running in emulation. But, because it's Phoenix Wright running in emulation, and its story is unaltered by the change in presentation, we personally don't care. It's not like anyone expected anything to be changed or added. In other "things that used to be retail DS games" news, on DSiWare, Nintendo offers two more Electroplankton segments this week. Hudson also presents the hardest sudoku puzzles yet. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (WiiWare, 1 player, 1,000 Wii Points) Electroplankton: Beatnes (DSiWare, 1 player, 200 DSi Points) Electroplankton: Hanenbow (DSiWare, 1 player, 200 DSi Points) Sudoku Sensei (DSiWare, 1 player, 500 DSi Points)

[Image source: DagBladet] Norwegian newspaper DagBladet is reporting DLC will likely be available day one or soon thereafter for Mass Effect 2. DagBladet says the usual items like armor and weapons will be available, but also other things, such as an unlockable planet and even a new ally by the name of Zaeed Messani, the grizzled bounty hunter pictured above. The piece also mentions an in-game store for unlocking DLC called "Cerberus Network," which sounds a lot like Dragon Age: Origins' DLC platform. There's more info available, but in the interest of being as spoiler-free as possible, we won't go into it. So, if you don't mind braving spoiler territory, hit up the link below.
