I really don’t give a rat’s ass (ha-HA!) about Ratatouille, but Deadly Creatures should not be included. That game never even got a TV commercial. It’s not too late to right your wrongs, THQ!

It seems virtual voyeurism never goes out of style. A recent Electronic Arts press release has informed us that The Sims 3 was last year's best-selling PC game across the globe, according to Chart-track UK, NPD Group, GfK and the publisher's own internal estimates. We imagine a bit of number crunching went into the aforementioned estimates -- we don't think they'd leave that kind of thing to water cooler talk. "So, what do you think, Mark? Best game ever? Yes, great. It's official." The EA presser also boasts the company's optimistic outlook on 2010, as the Sims 3 community continues to tinker around with the Create A World tools. Check out this neat, Robinson Crusoe-esque Machinima to see what these tools are capable of!

One of the interns over at The Kartel showed up in quite a spiffy outfit. Little did he know that his clothes for the day turned him into a makeshift Travis Touchdown! That’s how this collection of pictures came to me!

There's bound to be someone else out there waiting for news about Natsume's super-cute artillery puzzle game Squishy Tank, because we know we are. Natsume just announced that both that puzzler and Cheer We Go will be released in March, which is ... unfortunately, so overloaded that these games are likely to founder in even deeper obscurity than they would anyway. Squishy Tank, based on a series of Japanese Flash animations, is a color-matching game with soft, animate tank characters and adorable parody minigames. Cheer We Go is a rhythm-based game in which the player revitalizes a failed town, home to terrible sports teams and widespread despair, with cheerleading! The games will retail for $20 each.

Click to sho' more screensThe publishing status of Samurai Shodown: Edge of Destiny in North America is somewhat up in the air, given Ignition's recent silence about the game and Atlus' announcement that it's publishing SNK's Metal Slug XX (leading to speculation that Ignition's deal with SNK is over). There's no doubt, however, that the game's coming out in Europe. European publisher Rising Star Games has announced that it will publish the 3D Samurai Shodown sequel on Xbox 360 this spring under the name Samurai Shodown Sen. The game features classic Samurai Shodown fighters, like Ukyo and Nakoruru, with a weird mix of international characters -- like, in our experience, a Viking.

Looks like Japan will have to wait a little while longer for their next Harvest Moon DS outing. It has been confirmed that Harvest Moon: Twin Villages is no longer going to see release in February. Instead, the game now has a vague ‘Spring 2010′ release date. Even weirder, no reason was [...]

In Japan, Sega gave away eight weeks worth of free DLC following the launch of Yakuza 3. However, it looks like Sega has something different planned for its upcoming US release. A new GameStop listing spotted by VG247 promotes an exclusive "Challenge Pack." According to the retailer, this Pack adds a variety of two player mini-games, including pool, darts, bowling and golf. In addition, there are special outfits for Haruka, Kazuma and Rikiya to wear -- all content that was originally released for free in Japan. We're hoping this GameStop exclusive DLC won't stay exclusive for too long. inFamous' Gigawatt Blades also started as a GameStop exclusive, only to appear on the PlayStation Store for free a few months later. However, for those looking for the "complete" Yakuza 3 experience as soon as possible, it seems a trip to GameStop is necessary. At least the store is offering a $5 discount on the game.

The company announced the package today, revealing what dedicated Final Fantasists will get for their extra cash. The Limited Collector's Edition, available for both PS3 and Xbox 360 on March 9, will include the game (obviously), a soundtrack sampler CD containing tracks chosen by outbound composer Masashi Hamauzu, and a "The World of Final Fantasy XIII" artbook.
