Ah, Sonic X…the cartoon series that has freaked me out since day one. I hate seeing Sonic talk to humans in the games, but it’s even worse in the cartoon series. At least I can look at stuff like this and laugh…while I cry.

I don’t know that this is a confirmation of localization, or just a hope. Putting the ‘Summer 2010′ release date on there makes me think that there’s something to get excited about, but I don’t want to jump the gun.

Dr. Phil recently broke off a piece of uncomfortable truth for one of his show's guests in a sassy manner. This isn't exactly newsworthy - the mustachioed television personality is no stranger to telling things how they are - however, the subject of the intervention is definitely worth further examination: A mother who began to neglect her family in favor of her virtual plantation in FarmVille. We'll give you guys a second to let that sweet sorrow sink in. On a recent episode of Dr. Phil, a woman named Teresa was confronted by her daughter about her addiction to the casual crop-growing sim. Apparently, Teresa would regularly unplug the house's router to oust her fellow family members from the computer. This kind of thing doesn't fly in Phil's book, who remarked, "you unplugged it because you have a ridiculous addiction to a ridiculous computer game that's interfering with your ability to be a mother." Check out this off-screen preview of the episode containing the depressing exchange. *For the record, we joined FarmVille just so we could make the image above. We're definitely still not playing it, and we definitely don't need neighbors to come help out because, hey, those crops aren't going to fertilize themselves.

Hey look, it’s The Legend of…Allan? Yeah, it looks like the devs behind Super Boy Allan were a big inspired by a certain big Nintendo franchise back in the day. Too bad they only took some visual characteristics, instead of gameplay methods. Sounds like Super Boy Allan super sucks.

Well that’s that…Wii fans have clearly shown that they’re at least very interested in the Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom fighting stick. I’m guessing those customers are also picking up the Wii game of the same name! We can't be gaming all the time, despite our best efforts, and from time to time we'll actually take advantage of the movie-playing abilities on our gaming systems. JBO features our top picks for XBL, PSN, Netflix's Watch Instantly and Blu-ray each week. Recommendation of the Week: The Bourne Trilogy (Blu-ray/SD flipper discs, $24.98 per movie, much lower at retailers) Flipper discs are back! Remember back when HD-DVD existed, and they'd put a standard def edition of the movie on the flipside of the HD? Universal is bringing it back: Frosted-Blu on one side, regular shredded wheat on the other. Now you'll be able to loan your movies out (blasphemy!) to non Blu-ray owning buddies, or buy the standard definition in the hopes that you'll one day make the upgrade ... maybe when God of War III comes out later this year. The three Bourne movies, The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum, are the first discs to get the treatment, and both sides are packed with all the same bonus features from previous releases. I watched these again (both sides) recently, and forgot how good they were. Now I'm going to go look at latent images in the hopes of triggering my own forgetting CIA splinter cell training. Read on after the break for the rest of our recommendations, and let us know what you're watching!

Go ahead and watch the launch trailer for Mass Effect 2 again, then be a total hater and pretend you don't want to play it. It's cool, we'll totally nod and smile. If that's not enough, go ahead and watch the six other trailers again and again. If someone knows how to speed up time and make us skip to next week, we'd totally appreciate it. click to mech larger Square Enix's third-person action treatment of the Front Mission games -- classically a strategy RPG series -- failed to really wow us when we played it during last fall's Tokyo Game Show, but developer Double Helix (Silent Hill: Homecoming) has a few more weeks to tighten its bolts and lube its actuators. That's because Front Mission Evolved has been given orders to deploy here in the US this spring, which, according to our calendars, begins at the end of March. Here to tide us over is a batch of new screens from (presumably) the latest build of the game, which features on-foot combat in addition to its mechanized modes of transport.
