It's been quite a while since we heard about Space Ark, the upcoming game from GEON: Emotions developer Strawdog Studios. Originally slated to release in 2009, the studio has announced that Space Ark will now be launching on Xbox Live Arcade in spring 2010. The game involves lots of cute critters on a mission to save the universe by repairing planets damaged by a black hole. In order to do this, players will bounce said animals into the air to collect DNA. Okay, so it may not make that much sense at first glance, but it looks fun enough. See a new trailer above and check out a new batch of screens in the gallery below.

Man, this game is going to be horrible. You don’t even need to see any screens or hear details to know that. I love Chuck E. Cheese, but I think I’ll stick to the brick and mortar locations instead of the game. Thanks to Hero of Legend for the heads up!

Look, we get just as tired of seeing Nintendo's remarkably high software sales figures every few months as you do -- that's why, this time around, we're going to do things a little differently. We're just going to add up all the life-to-date totals for the company's biggest titles, and just drop them in one big chunk. Ready? Okay, here we go: 247,780,000. Well, that sure didn't work. Fine, we'll break down each of the games highlighted by Nintendo's recent financial report (warning: .pdf link) and post their FY2010 sales and life-to-date sales after the jump. (Fun fact: All of the Wii games actually have "Wii" in the title. It's like the Nintendo 64 days all over again!)

If you desperately need a somewhat nicer Classic Controller, but can't wait for the Classic Controller Pro's April release -- and you demand free Super Saver shipping -- head to Amazon right away. The retailer is offering the Japanese version of the Pro for $34.99 in black and white. Quantities are currently severely limited, but the item listing promises that more are on the way. Sure, you pay a hefty premium over the $19.99 a Pro will cost when it's officially released in North America, but that's the price you pay for being the envy of all of your friends during Bomberman '93 sessions. And if you're not having weekly multiplayer Bomberman '93 sessions, don't you want to now? That sounds great. [Via GoNintendo]

We're not big fans of teaser pages, but we do wish there were a few more like the one hinting at more Sam & Max in 2010. The site has now evolved beyond rambling about "a power-mad space gorilla" to ... well, there's still some rambling, but there's also a real deal: The whole first season of Telltale's Sam & Max for just $4.99. If you haven't touched the series or just like buying things really, really cheap, now would be the time to act. Here's to hoping future teasers follow Telltale's lead and lump some utility in with the titillation. [Thanks, Dao Jones]

Nintendo’s CSR report may not be the most exciting thing to check out, but it’s still nice to have it. Specs Released, but Blizzard states they're not.

As evidenced by the image above and this link, Dragon Age: Origins' once-released and subsequently pulled DLC offering, Return to Ostagar has, uh, returned to Xbox Live! No, seriously, we're not lying -- we understand your skepticism, but, we assure you, it's there. As for the PC and PS3, well, it's still not available on those platforms at the time of writing this post. BioWare says it'll be on those platforms "soon." The 400 campaign add-on takes you to Ostagar, the site of a vicious battle with the Darkspawn. One captive has managed to escape and seeks the Grey Wardens' aid to ... wait for it ... It's time to show those ... animated ... cans ... who's boss. Intelligent Systems's patently odd shooting game 530 Eco Shooter arrives on WiiWare this week, aiming to fill you with terror at the sight of any preserved vegetable. For those among you who shun can combat, Street Fighter Alpha 2 is also available, in a surprisingly competent SNES port. On DSiWare, Gameloft has released Legends of Exidia, which is reportedly a port of its mobile game Might and Magic II (not to be confused with the real Might and Magic II) with all the license stuff excised. That's pretty weird. 530 Eco Shooter (WiiWare, 1 player, 1,000 Wii Points) Street Fighter Alpha 2 (SNES, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points) Electroplankton: Luminarrow (DSiWare, 1 player, 200 DSi Points) Electroplankton: Sun-animalcule (DSiWare, 1 player, 200 DSi Points) Legends of Exidia (DSiWare, 1 player, 800 DSi Points)
